Just curious if anyone else did this. I was at the loval GameStop and happened to mention it, he said I could pre-order with my powerup stuff so I did. lol. Anyone else?

Nope. I didn't because your not going to get anything out of it and it's coming out the same day for everyone. It's an XBLA game.....their not going to run out. Though I do need to get some points soon.

It wasn't the point of getting anything extra, more of the "if I have points I'll spend them" thing. It was easier knowing I would be able to spend my points freely and still get the long awaited Minecraft for the xbox. lol.

I figure that there's gonna be about 500+ posts with all the Good and Bad within the first 24 hours....
Yes, but there's gonna be posts about the "minor changes", like world size, etc. I know it's gonna be a older version of the one I already have, but it's gonna be interesting to read all the comments about the xbox version anyway.
Believe me, there will be comments.
If nothing else they'll be a bunch just from people posting "IT'S OUT!" and "I GOT IT!".

Theres is no way you can preorder a game that is an XBLA title. I would know, i work at a gamestop. All you do is buy your points. Ive had my points for months. And there wont be many difference to the PC version. The "Minor changes" are not going to be enough to sway anyone. its the same game thats on the PC. waiting for the reviews is stupid and pointless.

What is the point of pre-ordering it? Why not just sit on your couch and download it the minute it comes out like other people.?

I went to Gamestop yesterday to buy my new console and YES, You can preorder a download code for $5.00. The employee said It was released on May 8th..... He may have been mistaken though and meant the 9th. I almost did it but, I had already spent over $520.00 so I passed.

I forget if point cards have an activation fee or not ( I haven't bought one in a while) but, I do see a small savings in preordering a download code to skip the activation fee of a points card. Then again, a debit card on file is basically the same thing..... I do see this as a way for Gamestop to have more cash on hand. Gotta love a good business model. Oh and don't forget about the Rewards program... The more ya spend the more ya save

There is no activation fee (At least where I live). Actually,the best way to go is to buy the points on amazon and you can select online code. This way you don't have to pay sales tax and you get the code emailed to you instantly. A 20 dollar code is 19 dollars right now.
