It was just broken by the release of Trials Evolution, the first of the newest lineup ending with minecraft.Yet I think it's numbers will be miniscule in comparison to the MC release. I'm not sure if it will ever be beaten on the 360. I'm thinking twice of Trials on release day. What do you all think?
Not to be a pessimist or a devils advocate here but why does it matter?
because it's a record? and breaking records is something to be proud of and it's nice when you have things to be proud of. i mean really, why doesn't it matter? why do you think some people spend months and years preparing to break records? Some train their entire life preparing to break a world record. It means you're the best, Minecraft, will be the best arcade game and it'll probably stay that way for quite some time. until minecraft 2

i bought trials evolution the minute it came out (literally i kept refreshing all day till it said "Buy Now 1200p" and when i bought it i went to leaderboards and a ton of people were there , so its gonna be hard to beat trials

If I weren't so lazy I would go buy some.
If Minecraft breaks records for day one sales, the only reason it would do so is because people are going out and buying Xbox 360s just for Minecraft. In my opinion, that's a waste of money, but whatever floats their boat I guess.

Most people spend that much on just a graphics card. I think most of the people getting it will be doing so because the have horrible computers and already have a Xbox. If the don't have a Xbox they think. "Hmmm... Minecraft looks pretty fun, but what to play it on? I could buy a $300 dollar top of the line Xbox or a $800 bottom of line PC. Also I suck at computers so.... I think I'll go with the Xbox. "

True, but just most, not all.
Many of us also prefer playing on Consoles, like me Got a good pc for minecraft, but will play on xbox 100%. I also dont suck at computers, can manage all the options.

300k+ people allready are interested in it and HAVE an xbox.
Most if not all avid gamers be it hand helds ps3 xbox or PC know about minecraft.What makes you feel xbox owners are not allready interested in MC.

Trails seems pretty boring to me... i have a feeling that mc with surpass it with a great quantity of players because mc isnt really as repetative as a dirtbike game...
I do see a record being broken (pure speculation) but...... I do hope MS has there **** together when the downloads start, Other games have been pushed back a few hours just to allow the uploads to be completed. With at least 100K+ members downloading the same game at the same time...... well problems can/have happened. I predict a few people waiting another 24 hours to play from the initial launch. Just my random opinion.

All that should matter is that anyone who wants the game, get's the game, and supports it as passionately as the PC community has done.

If everybody that already rated minecraft on Xbox live buys it that would be more than trials. I think MC will sell tons more.
