because people are stupid. there's no clearer way of putting than that. i could give numerous examples, some that are surprisingly exceptionally stupid, but your head may explode from the dangerously high, nearing lethal, levels of stupidity.

I'll tell you why. They don't want to spend any time actually finding the answer for themselves. They want everything handed to them. It's called instant gradification and our society is the epitome of this.
Also, these forums gauge your worth based on how many posts you make so you are going to get these people who just post random stuff to get their post numbers up quickly.
