I don't know how many here follow him on twiter https://twitter.com/#!/PopsRamjet but he answered on two things yesterday. 1- maps are not transferable.[Edit to clarify- I mean as in PC maps ie. skyblock] - 2- they would like to make it so could change skins [Edit to clarify-Same way as PC.] but there is not anything planned as of now. Just thought you all might want to know.
I did catch that and do follow him, thanks for the heads up though One thing I would say is that the two things you have said aren't exactly right. They should read 1) Maps are not transferable to other operating platforms. 2) You cannot, as of launch and near future, link the arcade version to your Minecraft account and get your skin from there.
They have already said that there will be social sharing features on XBLA and also that they are working on skins and texture packs although updating the versions will take priority.
