Cannot wait for the XBOX version! I defiantly going to get it because my pc sucks...
My PC is on that level too, i can run it on fancy but like at 20 frames. this would be one of the xbox editions pros from some of the cons like no plugins :/
I definitely do not want to see anything grindy like your example of 'Mine 500 iron ores' but I do agree that it would be nice to see some achievements that are a bit difficult.

Haha funny funny free gamerscore that is not the best policy gamerscore is for being good at the game and doing something awesome and gain a "rep" like kill the six guards a the dog without reloading in World at war that was fun being a boss at, but these achievments are just a tutorial how to play and i am pretty sure that most people already know how to play or will simply learn from a friend
Im with a few others on the Achievements being too easy. I would of rather seen things such as Travel to the End, Survive a minecraft week/month, experience every major Biome, Enchant an item. Ya know, something that takes a little more time than 'press a single button'.
Im just an achievment freak though and like the hard ones. In the end, Minecraft will still be Minecraft.
the achievements on the 360 are the same as the achievements on the pc for a simple reason, its still minecraft, stop complaining people wanted the game on the xbox so they are changing as little as possible of the game to get it on the xbox.

wait.Theres a few more achievements on the xbla version of minecraft.So if they wouldnt of added the new achievements.The game could of came out sooner >:L.Since thats the main reason whyit was delayed.Because of the 400 GS for the xbox360 xbla games was just added ths month.

As for the thread, I also feel like some of them are a bit too easy. For example, "Taking Inventory" You get I think 10 Gamerscore for just pressing the X button. Which is a little bit too easy. I don't care too much though, I would love some challenge to be put in.. But I guess the challenge will come from the game itself.
To open your inventory you must go to the nether and kill a ghast with its own fireball and than rape its dead corpse while floating in lava... Hows that for an achievement?

You could never be sure what your read, when a rumored date gets shutdown, they usually say it was "delayed" instead of saying it was a stupid rumor. Microsoft announced it will release in spring 2012 sometime on October 2011. And you are telling me spring is in Febuary? Where have You been?

They DID delay it so it could be part of Arcade Next.

Obviously a date wasn't officially announced yet, which means it wasn't officially delayed. We had a rough idea of when it was supposed to be out, and it wasn't. That means it was "delayed".

No, no it doesn't. But what it can do is show your friends what you have achieved in the game. I read something a while back about them asking us for ideas for 4 player split screen. With that, It tells me that they do want to add features that they can do because its on the Xbox. In my opinion, the achiements were not done right on minecraft PC since they can only be seen by you and you never cared to even try to earn them. So if they are not so important at all, then why would they add them in the first place?
