Open servers. I feel that without this, Minecraft will be completely different. Maybe even less fun. No people to join you and admire your work, or meet you and begin working with you! ): We can't have amazing, massive public places where anyone can build anything. I saw a suggestion for people making Pumpkin Chunkin' cannons and competing to see who's goes furthest (Just as an example) And you can't do things like that on MCX360 because you'd have to know the competitors before hand, which is unlikely. Do you think they'll give us dedicated servers? Do you agree/disagree with me?
If you want big open servers, play on the PC. Only want to play with a small group of friends, play on the Xbox. I don't see what the problem is.
I only wish I could play on my PC, but it can't handle minecraft. Xbox on the other hand can't have games that it cannot play. That's why most of us are excited for it to come out on this console.
I don't see why you people are saying you can't do things like that? Just because people are your friends doesn't mean you can't do stuff like that. Or hell, go to the big friend adding thread for Minecraft Xbox 360 and add some random people you don't know to play with. It's not that big of a deal.
you have to remember, this xbox360 were talking about so its hared to do stuff like conneckting to servers.
xbox live dosint work like that.
(This is just my theory but) You connect to servers in every game that has online play The xbox just does it for you and they don't tell you for some reason.
They basically have multiple computers handling the server this is why when you see lots of players on it makes it slow because theres more players to connect to. Although i could be wrong.
Well, I fear I'll become rather bored without playing with many people at once. I don't have any friends getting this game and may not be online when many other people are. Less people = less fun
Here's an idea. There will be an option to play on a random server and it picks a random, open server. Depending on the game settings (set by host) when you first join you will not be able to build. The host has to open up scoreboard, scroll over to your name and press X or something to give you building rights. If you like the server, you open up the scoreboard and press Y or something and it bookmarks the server. You can then pick the server in a list of saved servers. Good? No?
Exactly.
just have to say, fable 2 and 3 if i remember right
meh generally dislike random people on xbox live anyway, would be why i forget

I think that is the only way you can play multiplayer.
