I know that actual bought games for the console require gold to play multiplayer, but do XBLA games require gold to play multiplayer? Will Minecraft 360?

well if you want to use live then yes
but if not you can have 3 friends over and play 4 player splitscreen
Nah, gold nuggets, not gold. But being able to play using Silver would be nice. But if you know real life friends then invite them for
split-screen.

I agree with Minecrafter and Ghoulish... Microsoft delivers pretty quality multiplayer for the price, certainly better than sony. As, if ou can't pay 60 dollars a year (5 a month), then something is wrong with you. That's cheap. Extremely cheap.
alright, alright, youve fed the troll don't give him desert jeeze(fyi never had a problem with sony before)(yet 5 rdrs?),im still pissed that alpha players can't get it for free, never mind the cape we were promised
You're pissed that you payed very little for an awesome game, less than most people, especially people who buy it now. And still have to only pay $20 to get the 360 version? $20 is still cheap. Not to mention as an alpha buying, you got the PC one way cheaper than most people did. It doesn't sound like something that someone would get "pissed" over.
Well, that and the cape is just a stupid graphical thing that doesn't technically matter in the first place.
It's an awesome game, that most people spend hours, days, months, years? on. To most people, it's well worth the money.
Minecraft online multiplayer with friends will probably require you to pay for xbox gold.
It's a good question to ask. People assume every game that is online requires you to pay for gold. Not the case. FFXI is a prime example of not having to have gold to play and chat with friends online via headset and such.

first off Kiori, FFXI is a disk game, this is an xbla game, ALL XBLA games require gold to play its online form unless its the demo
okay, to recap the conversation the answer to the question of multiplayer requiring gold to play with friends on xbox live is yes. the rest is irrelevant and off topic, so get yourself a gold membership if you dont want to only play with friends you invite over.
Of course you will need a gold membership, you need Xbox Live to even download the game in the first place. The only other way to get would be to buy a J-tag or get it illegally somehow.

Sadly you do need a gold membership in order to play online but, on the bright side the XBOX360 Edition of MineCraft will support up to 4-Player splitscreen. Now you don't have to yell over the mic to tell your friend a creeper is behind him. You can yell right in his/her ear!
That's not true.
Maybe you need to have Gold to get some Demos but a lot of games don't require Gold.
You only need gold if the "demo" in question is actually a beta test that requires functions that only a gold member would have, such as in the case of the Gears 3 mp beta. All demos are available to silver.
Your retarded
Try to get the type of online Microsoft provides from Sony mate
What does Microsoft offer that isn't accessible on any other system? Don't give me the "servers are better" ********, either. You have no hard evidence that they have superior hardware/features to other systems. They're charging players for features that should be free to use.
Oh, and it's "You're retarded", mate. The ironing is delicious.

Time to grow up.
