M$ will charge for texture packs, and you won't be able to customize them at all.
This is just speculation, but I wouldn't be surprised if this happened.
I also won't be surprised if your character's avatar isn't as customizable as the PC Minecraft's. Paid DLC for that too? ugh.

Everyone should stop making generalizations about Microsoft. Who knows what was included in the deal between Mojang and Microsoft in order to get Minecraft on the Xbox 360. It could very well have been part of the deal to allow Texture Packs and Skins, whenever they come, to be free.

It may be a DLC (free or not) and (like Total Miner) you just pick one from a menu.
I don't think anything will be need to be (or able to be) USB'd to the game.

(Is the default one that bad?)
It's not that it's bad it's the whole make your game different thing. Customization.

That's about what i've been thinking. Allowing free textures and skins sounds like it could easily be a small part of a price to pay for having the game exclusive to 360.
Here's the deal. No one knows how they're going to work. Skins and texture packs aren't even going to be in the game when it first comes out. They're probably still figuring it out themselves.
Chances are, given that there's a Downloads section on the main menu, it'll be some kind of download. Either they'll pick the best ones, get permission to use them, and put them in the game as pre-set packs you can change to. Or there'll be some kinda upload/download system, similar to the way Guitar Hero had the custom songs section where you could make/upload/download songs. Except maybe they'll have a website you could upload textures to since you can't really upload them via the 360.
Just a guess, but honestly, I highly doubt anything will need to be transferred using USB or something.

Wait, in the Download section, you can download stuff???
How I think it'll work.
Microsoft will make a community where people can submit made texture packs on the PC. These Textures will be moderated and transfered to an XBOX version. That would be the best way to do it.
i Hope I get My main texture pack GERUDOKU there and also the texture pack i made
Check My signature to download my texture pack
*how are texture packs -

Also, here is an awesome suggestion I had: http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/1745550-biome-effects/
Lol, one guy took my comment seiously and had to find a meme.
Apparently using a meme as part of the sarcasm is too much for you to handle?
