no lag easily. I can run shogun 2 on my pc, 1000's of soldiers on screen in HD fighting it out, no problem. But the amazing 1986 nintendo graphics of minecraft lag to hell if i even venture too far away from my spawnpoint and try to explore a little bit, and god forbid if i try to play MC online, my pc will melt.
If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens..
This plus far render and extremely high fps. The main thing I like about it is me being able to play with friends over live as my PC can't play on servers, let alone offline itself.
Makes me really glad I bought a Xbox over a PS3 a few years back. The real reason I bought a Xbox over a PS3 was i wanted to play Banjo-Kazooie N&B. Good times!
I'm SORTA looking forward to split-screen just because my brother wants to try Minecraft and this will be a good way to let him try it..and if he likes it we can play.
However the 2 main things about it, is:
-No lag, which is a huge plus. Even though my PC can run it pretty good, the lack of lag on 360 makes it better
-And the fact that I'll be able to play it on my 360, while talking to people on my computer. Right now if I try to play Minecraft on my PC, I pretty much have to close EVERYTHING else to get it to run decent. This way I can have my normal computer stuff open, and still play it on 360.
I am also looking forward to playing online with a friend if it works decent enough for that, I'm not sure how "setting up a server" will work on the 360 version yet, so I can't say for sure if it'll work for me.
I wont have to pay for a server to host an 8 player game with just my friends!
Aside from that, full screen, fancy graphics and far view instead of short.
Ya' know what, though. PS3 is always competing with Microsoft. They know how much of a popular game Minecraft is. I think they are going to come out with there own Minecraftlike game and try to compete with the block-building fan-base of Xbox. It's rumored that Media Molecules(the team behind LittleBigPlanet) are working on a Block Builder/Survival title for Sony.
I can't see how it would beat the original Minecraft. But I can imagine is that it will be like a Minecraft with really detailed graphics. Sooner or later, the Sony fan-base will have a Block Builder of their own. Which doesn't really worry me because I have a PS3 as well. So I can get the best of both world.
come at me bro
true that.
come at me bro

Creepers Gonna Be Creepin!
Hate to break it to you, but that will be added after launch.
Voice chat.
Controller.
Everyone will have to same hardware, so the in-game settings will be designed for those specifications. That means no lag for anyone.
Minecraft + (Couch + Xbox) x (Lag x 0) + (Friends x 8) + Voice chat = 1 Happy gamer
