JUST A BEFOREHAND NOTE THIS IS NOT ME BEGGING FOR IT TO BE IMPLEMENTED. IT IS JUST AN IDEA THAT I WANT COMMENTS ON.
Do you think it will be possible for a skin editor to be implemented into XBLA pixel by pixel like paint?
Minecraft's servers already has over 25million skins being backed up and it is not the first time customization in XBL would have exsisted. I think customization is even saved locally.
Here are some games I have played with online customization :
CoD7 Black Ops
Midnight Club: Los Angeles
Fancy Pants Adventures

Like KioriBug said, 4J have mentioned that they may try something like a skin editor. That would be cool. I could then just copy the skins I already have by doing them on the XBLA version.
For those that didnt know/never played, EA's Skate series has a graphic editor on their website. When you link your XBL gamertag to your EA forum account, anything you or anyone makes can easily be transfered to the game to be put on skateboards, shirts, ect.
I can easily imagine the XBL version of Minecraft getting the same treatment for skins and texture packs, and it will probably work the same way that one changes there character skin for the PC version.
Whether the skin editor is through the console or in a website, I really dont see why it wouldnt be "in-game" from launch. Even some of the released screenshots show steve in different outfits (the 4player co-op pic is what im refering).
Ya but knowing microsoft you gonna have to buy them or a skin editor
As much as I want the cynical side of me to believe you, I'm not sure Mojang would allow for that to happen. Skins / Mods / Texture Packs are very important to the Minecraft community.
I think to change your skin you have to go to Minecraft.net on and change skin on your account when it comes out there probaly will be a section that says maybe "MinecraftXBLA skin changer" or something
I have the leaked copy and i'm sorry to say that there is NOT a skin editor
The leaked version is not the final version so just because it is not in that copy does not mean its not in the copy being released. Also it may very well be in that copy but since you attained it illegally you can not take it online to see if its in the dlc tab/ ability to link xbl account to a website. So really you dont know.

It seems the skins in this video are purely there to help differentiate the different players.
