This is a good debate IMO!!!! The PC has just as much douchebaggery as the console. I think the main difference is the community you decide to play with. Minecraft has to be one of the best gaming communities as a whole in all of gaming. Again just my opinion but, The console side has way more kids than adults. Sometimes griefing can be fun ex: Mindcrack Prank Wars. some of those were harsh but, all in good fun as the friends playing ultimately helped each other out. Some 10 year old kid will vine/cobble/blowup your work just to be a ****. There is a big difference in the mindset of players. Choose your friends wisely.

Actually, if you read the stickies (Xbox 360 info topic), the developers are making the absurd claim that this game will be cross compatible with the PC servers.

Read this article to see that M$ isn't the same beast it was at launch, cross platform play is not possible on the xbox now due to M$.
i'm going to make the assumption that devs are in talks with M$ about it and have jumped the guns saying it will be possible by next year.
The only remote possibility of this happening is M$ allowing cross platform play with 360 only after they release xbox 720 which will most definitely be closed platform.
FYI the 720 is a myth/joke.... I dont see a new console within the next 3 years unless nintendo does something
The next gen consoles could easily come out in a year or two.
And Nintendo really has nothing to do with what Microsoft and Sony does. Nintendo could come out with a console that's like a next gen Playstation or Xbox and I still wouldn't get it. Because the game selection on the Wii doesn't do it for me so I doubt whatever comes after the WiiU will either. And a lot of people are the same way. Especially when most console gamers play CoD no one wants to play CoD on a motion based console.

And I have done my homework. Games on Nintendo just don't appeal to the amount of people that the PS3 and 360 game library does. Primarily because a lot of money spent on games is spent on first person shooter games and motion control just doesn't go good with them.
Sorry but Nintendo really doesn't compete with the PS3 and 360. I'm not saying that the Wii sucks or that the WiiU will suck/does suck/whatever. But they appeal to different people so Nintendo releasing a next gen console really doesn't effect Sony or Microsoft that much. Unless they ditch the motion control.
And the same applies for Kinect. A lot of people like it but the games that are Kinect compatible don't appeal to the same people. Although I am sorta interested in the voice feature of it.

I appreciate the criticism and apologize for the mini Thread jack to the OP! I'm not sure how to convey that The 720 and a Nintendo release are a joke. Your absolutely correct which is why it's funny IMO. Nobody is interested in Motion based consoles and there is NO money to be made in 3D technology. I fail to see the point in this debate so I'll move on. You've clearly out witted me.
The topic makes me feel as if you are saying that every single xbox gamer would grief PC servers. Sure, when I get Minecraft on Xbox, I might as well join PC servers to see what creations they've made, but I don't grief. I'd think they would make it the same way to ban Xbox 360 gamers as well as PC, so if someone does grief, it wouldn't be any different, really.
It really depends on how you look at things, a pro for pc is that you can get it for free, while on xbox you can not.
But on the other hand, i'm sure the xbox has it's benefits for multiplayer.Personally, I like both.
You do realize that 4J Studios fixed the griefing problem by only allowing your friends to join your games. All you have to do is delete all the friends on your XBL account that are fags and keep the ones you enjoy playing with. Problem solved.
