Maybe mojang could pre-install popular texture packs and mods that we could turn on and off... I think thats the best way they could do it. By popular, i mean things like better than wolves and more creeps and wierdos... A good texture pack would be Misa's realistic texture pack.
The developer behind the Xbox Live versions of Banjo & Kazooie and Perfect Dark is making the Xbox 360 version of PC hit Minecraft.
Dundee-based developer 4J Studios, which also made the PlayStation 3 version of Bethesda's The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, "seem to have a very good mentality, and obviously are very talented," Minecraft creator Markus "Notch" Persson said on
Tip for people who don't understand: When someone in the thread says Mojang aren't making minecraft for XBLA.. they mean they technically aren't. A different group of people are working on the xbla version.
As for texture packs. I don't see them being added for a while anyway.
The way I see a texture pack being added, is through some kind of menu. Where people upload texture packs to an online website (on PC) and they get added to the XBLA version where you can download the one you want. As well as delete ones you don't want anymore.
I think mods could be done the same way... the only real problem I see with this, is that they'd have to keep them updated. Which doesn't always happen. So they'd have to be automatically deleted if they're outdated, or simply removed from the list until they're updated, then re-added to the list.
Here people: Mojang ARE NOT making the XBLA version of minecraft. 4J are. That is what people mean but Mojang aren't making it. Please for the love of god read this post instead of jumping to reply after 2-3 posts in.
**** i learned that within my first 2 days on here haha. bunch of idiots posting the same exact things over and over because nobody reads anything except the original post, and half the time they dont even read all of that! Which means there are at least 5 different WUT R U ST00PID R SUMTHIN ID10T IZ CUNFERMED 4 MUNTHS NAOW !!1 postsall because ONE guy actually knew what the hell he was talking about and everyone jumped on him because they're ****ing 5 years old and don't understand potato, much less who's making which games...
yeah but its still mojangs game and mojang had to let 4j make it. 4j cant just make it without the permission of mojang. point proven
And no, you didn't prove ****. The guy said Mojang isn't making minecraft for XBLA and he's ****ing right. No **** they had to give them permission to do it, and granted almost everything in this thread is off the original topic, THAT ISN'T WHAT WAS BEING DISCUSSED. You put your stupid little sarcastic comment about it being horse **** because you clearly don't understand either that Mojang ISN'T working on XBLA Minecraft or you're an idiot like 60% of the rest of the ****ing forum who just post without thinking. You and people like you **** me off to no end. Accept that you're wrong and stop posting.
All Notch does is tells 4J what to program, and 4J programs it. This would probably mean the new mod API, because I'm guessing that will be out before April.
If Facebook, Myspace, and Twitter were all destroyed, 90% of teens would go insane. If you're one of the 10% that would be laughing at them, copy this into your signature and hope it happens..

Oh so the XBLA thread doesn't exist? We must be in a different universe.
1: No one reads the entire thread before replying
2: No one knows sarcasm around here
3: No one learns to read up on Minecraft first.
4: No one thinks before replying.
