Minecraft XBLA. I've been waiting patiently since the first word about this new idea. First release date, Winter 2011, now Spring 2012. The home page says that "Rumor" has it, it will be released in late March. But I honestly don't believe it. Now back to the topic. If you guys could take the time to answer the poll, I would greatly appreciate it. I would really like it if Mojang and 4J Studios(I think) would make the Worlds on the XBLA Edition endless. It would make the game a lot better, and a lot like the PC version. Comment below if you know please!
I've read that the worlds won't be infinite, just really really big, my assumption is that said world size may be so large that it'd be essentially out to "The Far Lands" in the older PC versions, except they're cut off like a standard boundary from retro Minecraft.
They aren't endless, but still fairly huge. But that shouldnt matter because most often people don't go past about 1000 anyway unless they are really weird or get a terrible terrible spawn. Plus they can't be endless. The Xbox has limitations on memory, and therefore cant support infinite terrain generation. But the worlds will be big enough to seem infinite.

Sadly, I would like to believe 4J Studios when they say the worlds will be pretty big. Instead of an opinion from a guy that creates the game I would like the ize of the largest world possible. Like 10,000-10,000 blocks, oh I would love it were this big... ya I know thats what she said.
People who are not happy about infinite worlds.
In your pc worlds, dont you restart every month or so?
If not dont you only got 2k blocks ish?
And if you have ever played skyrim. MAKE A FRIGGIN SKYRIM CASTLE WALL ON MAP BOUNDS

People are also not happy with finite worlds.
No, same world since the nether update.
.
No, I have a 1000 block strait line rail through the nether and a ~3000 block foot path through the nether, with overworld bases at the end of each, and have traveled between those bases in the overworld.
I've played a lot of Skyrim, but have no idea what you mean by "FRIGGIN SKYRIM CASTLE WALL ON MAP BOUNDS".

That means build a wall on the boundaries if it is finite.
I believe that the worlds will be endless like on the PC because if you watch gameplay of the game(You lost by the way) it looks as if that version has been taken straight from the PC version with just a few Xbox'y changes to it.
If there is no preset world size like the other MC spin-offs on xbox, then world size limits would be limited to harddrive space or internal memory... thats just common sense. I'm hoping they have user defined limits, that way if someone wants a small world or only wants to devote a certain amount of HD space to MC then they wont run max out their hard drive without realizing it... this would also allow someone to devote an entire xbox hard drive to minecraft if they wanted to have a huge world - though it would still be limited. But to put things in perspective, the world I mentioned in my post above is just shy of 1gb - my old xbox HD is 120gb.
Also, world sized like the other block builder games on xbox would pretty much negate the original purpose of the Nether - fast travel.
i dont see why they couldnt be theoretically endless like the pc version. it's not like the entire world is generated at one time. The xbox not being able to handle it because of potential world size is a load of crap. the size of the world should be limited to the available memory on your hard drive and what the xbox is able to "handle" is based on render distance, fancy graphics, etc. World size = available memory, same as computer. Ability to "handle" the game = in-game settings, also same as computer. why would it be any different between the two?
Edit: I wouldn't be surprised if they had a fixed render distance for xbox since they're all basically the same except for hard drive size, whereas computers can vary immensely, some not being able to handle even normal render distance. Regardless, there's no reason that should affect max world size, although it wouldn't hurt anything to change the size limit and shorten it by a few MILLION or so. 10 or 20k should really be more than enough for pretty much everyone.
Edit again: User-defined world limits, like the guy said above me, just before starting a new world is an excellent idea.
PC version isn't endless
Just "Theoriticly" endless
There's a point where things start getting whacky, like at Walmart at 2:00 am
Actually walmart around 2am is pretty peaceful. That's around the time i usually do my shopping. Sometimes when i get off work around 3am i love walmart at that time. No long lines, no screaming kids, no disgusting peopleofwalmart.com roaming about crowding the isles. Nice and quiet shopping, feel like i have the whole store to myself. I can even go the electronics section and try some demos with out a million little kids fighting over the controllers.
Also i'm hoping the worlds for MC XBLA aren't too big cause it could create lag on the servers for a while until an update.

I hope for endless because I like to do the great wanderer, set to hardcore, and then walk toward the sun, or moon when it comes up respectively, then at night you build a hut, lie down in bed, then the next morning keep walking. the only time you go underground is rarely, staying close to the surface just to grab some iron that is easily obtainable. you should try it on the pc anyway, only carry what you need/want and throw the rest and move on.

come at me bro
As in not technically endless, but big enough to seem endless.
Out of bedrock, that would work.
Although I've never been to these walls.
I couldn't help but think...
