i have a theory mods could be put into minecraft using the indie games section because anyone can put stuff into it and i know that minecraft is an xbox arcade game not an indie game but this might work. or some computer whizz might be able to change the code for the mod on pc and fit it for xbox
Sorry to burst your bubble dude, but its not really that easy. Adding a mod to the game changes its internals. Its like getting surgery and putting in some metal to help it on a broken bone or something. When adding it, it is no longer the original minecraft. thats why when you compare games on console versus PC, some perfer PC because it has the con of getting mods.
No, you can not mod the game using the indie games section, that would probably violate the guidelines for the XBLIG marketplace. As for computer whizzes modding things, probably, but the effort this takes would be quite large, both for the modding process and adding the mod to your game. Most people will probably just stick to the pc version if they want mods.
well i guess its possible since it could work like steam work shop's skyrim mods you get a menu for mod installing and...yeah you get mods from pc to xbox...somehow.

ok the newest forum news is that NOTCH has confirmed that there will be mods
No, Notch didn't confirm anything.
The game's lead producer, Roger Carpenter, when asked about mods said:
The easy answer is no, because it’s a closed system. But we’re aware of how important that mods are for Minecraft so… it’s going to be a tougher nut to crack. It would definitely be a nice thing to do. It’s something on the list of things to investigate. It might be for something further down the line. The priority we’re looking at things is in this order: skins, textures and then mods. That’s how we’ll tackle things.
That got narrowed down on the home page to:
Mods will not be available "yet"; the developers want to focus on textures, skins and mods (in that order).
That's developer speak for: "Mods are next to impossible and will be the the last thing we'll look at. Talk to me in a year or two.... but don't hold your breath."
