I think the first DLC or only DLC should be the YogBox, it has a lot of awesome mods in one hole package and it seems notch likes the yogscast because they had the stage at minecon for like 15 minutes talking about the yogbox. So what do you guys think? Will they make the yogbox a DLC? it sounds reasonable and they could use that as one big code transfer to xbox instead of individual DLC and also YogBox comes with texture packs with it that work with all mods. So what do you guys think?
Well, they would have to get the individual permission of every author of every mod. They csn't just ask the Yogscast for permission. It'd be a lot more complicated than that.
Oh ya i didn't think of that, but since they Okayed the yogBox i bet they would Okay them being transfered to xbox code
"DLC with "mods"? I don't think Microsoft would be down for that. "
Well it wouldn't be Mods it would be an expansion pack like in any other game.
No. Why pay for DLC if you can download it for free as a mod? Doesn't make sense. But since when has Minecraft made sense? Now it sounds like you're willing to pay a little bit so you don't have to go through the hassle of installing all the mods and things that need them. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is what you're saying. As cool as that would be to have, I don't think it would be practical for them to do it. DLC should be original not some mod. And that concludes my unclear rant!

WEll the issue here is simply installing mods doesnt work on an xbox. Also all the mods for minecraft are all in the PC code. Xbox is writen in a new code soo for the mods to work you need to recode the mods into the xbox format. If 4j did this it could be an expansion pack for free or a small fee. Mostly i want the Yogbox because it has all the best mods. I mostly just want Mo creatures, and the two Engineering mods where you can build machines and things like that Idk what their called because i don't play the PC minecraft.
One Microsoft doesn't like mods on their console. Two, I don't think they want to put more pressure on 4J Studios by having to constantly alter the mods from Java to C++ or which the Xbox 360 runs on.
