Well the 360 is more powerful than most computers. So it should run pretty good. As long as the development on it essentially clones that of the PC version.

I can vouch that my almost all of my friends computers would fall under this category.

Villagers need to turn into zombies once killed by a zombie... March 24th 2012
Minecraft on Xbox is not going to be coded in Java, but instead coded in something like a C variant. In case you didn't know, Java is very resource-intensive, giving the reason as to why it lags so much on PC. But since Xbox is going to be coded in a more efficient language, it won't need nearly as much power to run at a steady frame rate. My guess would be a solid capped 60FPS, since that's what most Xbox games run at.
And to people saying the Xbox is more powerful than PC, you're wrong for most part. The Xbox can be compared to an average 7-year old home PC that hasn't been maintenanced. Although, I understand that a lot of people that play Minecraft have either a non-gaming laptop or a low-budget home PC, and can't run it very well. In this case it's a much better choice to get Minecraft on Xbox.

so your saying my 7 year old computer that can barely run minecraft would have the computing power of an xbox. That is incorrect sir.

The Xbox 360 is 7 years old. So if your computer has the below-average / average PC parts of 7 years ago, then yes, it has the computing power of an Xbox.

so you are saying that a 7 years old computer can run crysis interesting google about it a bit and you will see how wrong you are ._.
There are some videos on youtube that are showcasing Minecraft on the Xbox 360 and it looks smoother than most lets plays. I'm going to say that it will be 120 frames per second.

Curse PremiumI was actually gonna argue with your statement here, but then I looked up a spec sheet of the 360 and realized, oh ****, I'm wrong. :3
Yea, it's a hell of a lot more powerful than most pre-built computers. Home-built gaming rigs are another story entirely. :3
SNES ROMs

How would we know????
Shouldn't you ask this question after it's out and we've had a chance to play it??????
Pretty sure the OP is talking about fps lag, not network lag.

Is it FPS lag or Network lag?
Also, FPS doesn't even lag, it drops frames everyone else says lag cause they don't know what to say.

So you're trying to tell me the Xbox 360 isn't 7 years old? Okay. Makes perfect sense, because it totally didn't come out in 2005, right?
