Any seeds from before 1.8 when the new generator was added.
I am playing on the same seed as my original beta 1.4 world and all the features are there including the mountain where my base was, all spawners.
It's just weird to see the world without my structures ( a very small section where the giant pine forest started) and some land that was deleted prior to 1.8 .
What's extra awesome is my pc totally crashed on the week end and every thing is gone. I may have lost the original world( again) and all my progress but at least I can start over in the same place with the old world generator even if it's now a smaller area.
lol, i typed a seed in earlier and looked around for a bit. i then made a new world i inputed the same seed and it gave me a completely different level so i dont think it works anyway. sorry im not trying to cause contreversy amongst you but im just telling you my experiance
You used to spawn within 300 blocks of 0'0'62 i think, if you choose the same seed you may have spawned in a different spot and walk in another direction and not seen any familiar features
