There will probably be no way to make and distribute mods for the xbox, but if so, the modding community will be very small. If you want mods, stick with the PC.
They will most likely rewrite the scripts in C++ for the xBox.
The scripts will also be encrypted, making impossible for us to mod it unless mojang releases source code.
You'd have to hook up your xbox to your computer to download the scripts to your saved version of minecraft, meaning you'd have to be pretty computer literate to just install mods.
Well you could not expect mods, and then be surprised if there are, OR you could expect that there will be mods and be disappointed when there isn't any.
There's even another way to look at it: Yes, there will be mods, but because of the expenses involved you can't afford them.
Me? I am not expecting any, so I'm not gonna be disappointed.

You wouldn't have to hook your xbox into the computer, You can just get a flash drive put the files on the drive and transfer it to your xbox. Simple as that.

That only allows you to mod saves files, nothing more. To actually mod your Xbox to the point where things like mods can be used with Minecraft takes much more time and effort.
