For when Minecraft comes out for Xbox 360, couldn't be configured so that you can download a Xbox 360 mod/texture pack off the internet and transfer it to the Xbox 360 in a specified area, like where the dlc for other arcade games would be? And if they wanted to, they could charge a small fee so you could download the stuff you need to get mods to work. That's all I could think of about it, so post your opinion please!
Well, Microsoft are starting to sway more and more with this game. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they allow mod support at release.
Don't get your hopes up though.
There is no reason why we couldn't get texture packs but it may not be as simple as just downloading the ones available the will most likely have to be remade.
Mods are possible but only if they are allowed and they release support for them.
Microsoft is very, very picky about letting 3rd party content onto the Xbox 360. Texture Packs and Mods fall into that 3rd party content. Normally, they never let it happen, and if you try, they ban you from Xbox Live.
However, seeing as how Minecraft is ridiculously popular, they may just find some way to let you use Texture Packs and Mods.
