No grief protection mods
A griefer's dream. A player on XBox Live can't go 10 min. max without killing someone or breaking something.
No Bukkit
Server managing will be difficult without Bukkit. It will be plain 'ol vanilla Minecraft with tons of griefers that won't be able to get banned.
No mods in general
Players will get pretty bored after 1 day of Minecraft. Let's hope there will be "addons."
Making servers
How is this to work at all? Like FortressCraft's? Most players on XBox don't have the right mind on how to make a server at all on the computer version.
Wow...I automatically assume your a troll and copied another post because there is a post almost exactly like this just with more replies...Anyway...to the non-trolls reading this...There will be cross-platform servers...So...XBox people will be able to play on PC servers. There will be grief protection. End of Story on griefing topic. Maybe there will be votes on the most popular plugins to be put into a add-on when setting up a server...like a checklist.

Or possibly, when you JOIN a PC server you could get all the plugins off of that server onto your server for you to use?
So like when you join, you download the plugins as you join, and then you could select them when you set up a server?
Orrrrr, we could just make a server on PC and use it on Xbox, but that might create a problem with names, but whats the chance that someone with the exact same name as you joining a server that you are on?

i dont think there are going to be "servers". It could be just that u can join into a friend's world or something like that

For server setup. It will probably just make your console the server. There probably will be no IPs either. If I had to guess I'd say you can only join a friends MP server or a server a friend is in. So basically your friends list would be your server manager. Or there will probably be options for Friends only, Public, or Invite only.
As for grief protection. Just be careful about who you let in your game.
As for addons. It doesn't need them. Plenty of people get along fine with plain old Minecraft and don't need mods. What I'd like though is a texture editor :/

I'm usually not trying to be rude. So if a post comes across that way then sorry :]
Um yea no......... Most people will play minecraft with their FRIENDS, and they dont grief. Also, mods are gay. The only mods I used is mc patcher for the faithful texture pack (my sig) and rei's compass.

I wouldn't say that. Have you even tried one? There are some pretty cool things such as having NPC's, magic and being able to do things that aren't really possible by hand.
It will be very interesting to see how Minecraft is used on the Xbox. Only time will tell.

Anti-Griefing Protection
Microsoft and Mojang have said that the Xbox 360 and PC version will have cross platform multiplayer. This means that Xbox people will likely be able to take advantage of anti-griefing things on PC servers.
No Bukkit
Again, since it's going to be cross platform, Xbox people will probably only have access to Bukkit things while playing on a PC server.
No Mods
You imply that the game needs mods to be entertaining. I have had Minecraft since it went BETA and have yet to install any mods aside from Optifine. You don't need mods for Minecraft to be fun.
Making Servers
Now you are just insulting Xbox players. The servers will most likely work like this. You make a world, choose whether it's single player or multiplayer. Then if you want friends to join, you just invite them and it instantly becomes multiplayer.
You imply that the game needs mods to be entertaining.
You have pretty much just summed up like 90% of the PC gamers I know right there, I've been able to enjoy Minecraft without mods as well, the only mods I have are OptiFine, Mo Creatures, and Zan's Minimap, I don't use so much mods that it'll turn the game into something completely different.
For god's sake, I'm playing the Xbox 360 version of Skyrim, and I've managed to enjoy it for almost 50 hours without any mods. Yes, the console versions of Skyrim do suck, because of the large amount of bugs, but they don't happen THAT often, the last bug I ran into was I was at Winterhold, and then suddenly, the graphics started to glitch out like crazy, but it was fixed by entering a house and coming back out, I've ran into this bug a several times on Fallout 3. When it comes to Bethesda games, bugs are the #1 thing to expect, even if you are playing the PC version, but there are community fixes of course, basically giving PC gamers yet another reason to brag about why PC gaming is better than console gaming.

I was just about to say that I play Xbox 360 versions of Skyrim, Battlefield 3 ect. and find it perfectly fine. Mods don't make a game and if they do then the game must not be that good on its own.
But dammit don't you complain about the bugs in Skyrim! Bugs are what make Bethesda games fun! I know it sounds stupid but what would Bethesda games be without those memorable bugs like going into space after getting smashed buy a giant? Damn that was hilarious! Oh then there was the time a dead dragon fell from the sky and smashed a couple AI...lol

Microsoft does not allow 3rd Party software on their console. If someone did manage to somehow get a mod for Minecraft onto their Xbox 360 (which would require extensive modding) their console would be banned from Xbox Live.

Yeah, some of the glitches in Skyrim can be cool, funny, or helpful but it's just that the game breaking bugs are what will **** you off, which is why some people like me make a backup save when they're done playing for now. They can be easily broken out of on the PC version, because you got the console, but as for the console versions, your only choice is to load a backup save, but if you don't have one, you're gonna have to restart from the beginning.
I've seen Battlefield 3 on console, and it doesn't look too bad, despite the fact that you need to install the 2 GB texture pack for better graphics, otherwise, it'll look like Call of Duty 1 on the GameCube. And I've heard the PC version seems to have more problems than the console versions, such as frequent crashes and server disconnections, which seemed to happen allot in Bad Company 2 from what I've heard.
But yeah, graphics and mods do not make a game. I feel that allot of PC gamers like to show off their big ass ego, like "My PC is my pride and joy, console fags can suck it, because they got shitty graphics, while us PC gamers have awesome graphics and mods" Who cares? I ain't rich like you, and Skyrim on console does NOT look like Daggerfall. Besides, the Xbox 360 is a six year old console, and it's not right to compare a console that old to your PC which is probably like a year or two old, that's like comparing a rotten tomato to a fresh baked pizza, and then saying the pizza is better, because the tomato is rotten. *inb4hate*

Actually.. if you consider how the Invite system works on Xbox360 you'll probably have a filter for "Friends only" or "invite only" to your server... which means the planned 2-8 co-op is your buddies only.
Who says plugins won't work? I belive Jeb is working on something for that ... can't remember where I saw that.
Things can be put on USB and ported over, plus I wouldnt' be surprised if we saw an online way to port things over like existing worlds and such.... I mean they are both Microsoft and highly compatible with each other. (another reason I don't see this occuring on PS3 ever)
Personally I prefer Vanilla... so "no mods at all" is a big + to me
