So I wanted to give you all my idea for mods on the Xbox Live Arcade version of Minecraft.. here it is.
Since you guys are trying to make a mod API, this will probably be much easier when the API is done. Those of us that want to have our mods supported on Xbox can submit the mod to moderators, and if it gets accepted (in case of either inappropriate mods or the mod maker simply not wanting to have it on the Xbox) then the admins can put a link to an installer for the Xbox in the thread. When you log in to Minecraft on the Xbox, you can also have a sign-in feature to sign in to your MC account (for various reasons other than just mods. IE: Changing your skin). There should be a special website for Xbox users (that I can design for free if you don't have time haha) where you can change skin, change your account options, and go to the MC forums, the Xbox MC forums being exactly the same as these forums. Then you can browse for the mod you want with the search bar, look through the page, and see if the mod is supported for the Xbox. If it is, you can have it downloaded through XBL, start the installer from the quick-launch menu, and enjoy the mod :biggrin.gif:
You can also make a mod manager available through XBL if you really want to, but I don't think it would be necessary.
I realize this would be a lot more hard work then MC is right now, which in the first place is pretty hard work, but if that's the case, then maybe there could be some kind of program that will make your mods compatible with Xbox, that you can release on the forums or website or something.
Anyway, that's it! Thanks for reading.
If TL;DR, then let me put it short:
Put a web browser in XBLA version and put Xbox download links in mod threads.
Bye!
