I've never played Creative Mode on the PC, so I have a question about water.
In Creative Mode, is there a way to directly remove water? I know you could just place a block over it and then break the block, but is there a way to just rapidly click a bunch of water and remove it or do you still need to do the whole filling in the water with blocks deal?
This has been discussed quite a bit. I think the concensus is that you will have to have areas in your world that are completely unexplored (i.e. not filled in on your map) for there to be any chance that a new bit of terrain would generate in that area when you do explore it after the update comes out. There are no guarantees though. If you have already explored your entire map, then the new terrain features will not be able to generate since the terrain from bedrock to sky limit was generated in the file when you explored that area.
Do you mean explore with THE map ( explore all the map) or "visit" often underground chunks?

I don't think so... Place and destroy a block in creative is quite instantly (I don't know the spell of the world)

Just exploring your world. It is just easier if you have your map when you do it because you can tell which parts of your world are actually generated. Chunks generate from bedrock up to the max level, so if you have generated any part of the chunk, you have generated all of it.

Thanks Damien4004. You said it much better than I did.
it saves game and changes to game, but not my inv or location.
(the map resets too)
places me back at new players start (center of map)
clears my inv
Tried sleeping in different beds, trying both save types and clearing cache.
Any ideas?
It's a known bug. As far as I'm aware, there is no permanent fix. Just before you log out, place all your items in a chest to make sure you do not lose it.
some people said that for the next update there would be apples , wild cats , hunger bar system , steaks and even creative mode which i doubt considering that their is still a lot of bugs that has to be fixed

In 1.8 Apples were obtainable from Stronghold chests.
No ocelots (wild cats) until our 1.2.3 update along with jungle biomes (unless they bring it forward. I doubt it though)
Hunger bar system will be in our next update along with steaks (beef) and creative mode.
How many levels above Bedrock are diamonds (I believe its 10 not so sure though).
I have found them on levels 16 and below (per Y coordinates on map). Best levels so far in my world seems to be level 8 to 10. Some people have reported on this forum about finding diamonds up to level 18. In my world, level 12 is where most lava lakes seem to spawn (although I also have some lava lakes above that level and even on surface). However, digging between levels 12 and 16 will yield some diamonds and be mostly free from lava risks.

We are getting creative mode.
Apples should be added, but only in chests in strongholds, like it was in the PC version up to this point. I don't expect them to come from trees yet.
We will have the hunger bar.
I wouldn't expect ocelots, as they spawn in jungles, and we aren't getting jungles in the next update.
Dang it!! Now I have to buy an xbox. Why!!notch!! why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *cries*
you don't have to, but the xbox is a fun system. The pc minecraft has a lot more to offer since the console is limited. Make sure if you are to buy an xbox, you understand that in order to play with friends online you need to spend a minimum of $10 a month, and if you want to play with friends on your xbox, you will need an hdtv and up to 3 more controllers.
Hope in future 4J implementing a Option the Player can select Classic or Standard Crafting Interface.
Why? When you play long time MCXB360E you know the recipes for Crafting. And it's a little bit boring
Or when i select Normal or Hard Mode i have then the Classic Crafting Interface and the Beginners (Easy/Peaceful) has normal Crafting interface with recipes.
I know that this has already been answered but is there any way that this could possibly come to PS3?
I own a PS3 and i dont think its worth getting an x-box just for one game.
So if anyone knows anything else about this it would be helpful.

Endermen will be in the next update. No word on when that is yet.
Diamond Ore spawns on layers 1-15, more so around 5-12. Next update diamonds become more rare.

We should have steaks.
according to the wiki that change does not take place until 1.2.4 so very probably not.
