Ok im not certain on how I am suppose to ask here, but Here I go I wanted to know if there is or will their be a final boss on the 360 system?
The ender dragon will eventually be on the xbox 360 version. Some people consider this as the final boss, but there really isnt an "End" to minecraft, the ender dragon is just another milestone to accomplish in the game
Does anyone know if the next update will have any or all features from the 1.9 pre releases and such? It just seems odd to pick 1.8 as the next update when there will be a lot of things added in that have no actual use just yet such as the NPCs and stuff.
I'm holding out hope that they go ahead and pull in some things added after as they have done with a few minor things so far with the updates.
I just made a forum post about this, i have no in game audio like doors opening glass smashing or blocks breaking, but i can hear the minecraft music, and crafting interface and inventory. I was just wondering if this was a problem with my audio or if its a minecraft bug, anyway if you want to see what happens, here is a video about it.
You can hear the crafting interface at the start but at 0:30 you cant hear the dirt break!! -
Thanks for any help!
This is likely a bug. I've noticed a lot of issues with sounds since that last update or so. A lot of things in the game I remember having sounds either rarely do now (such as lava turning to obsidian) or never have a sound.

4j is looking into features to pull forward, but they haven't released what they are looking into yet. We'll have to wait for them to release the "patch notes" to know.

They have stated they are looking into pulling things early, such as enchanting and/or breeding, but there are no guarantees. The reason they chose 1.8.2 is because it is such a big update. They are basically remaking the game, with the hunger bar, experience, new terrain generation and a lot of other stuff. Yes, if they don't pull things early, there will be stuff added that is currently useless(such as XP), but that was how it was on the PC version also.

True, but the PC had frequent updates. When they update the 360 version we won't get another update for another 1-3 months.

That is not exactly true. Snapshots are not official updates. They are just preview builds, like beta testing it. The only reason people play with them is to mess around with the new stuff. Most servers (and probably a lot of single player users) don't use the snapshots. Which means they are getting updates just as often as we are. Now as for whether you can compare it when we skip to 1.2.3, we will just have to wait and see. If it does take 4J just as long to update from 1.8.2 to 1.2.3 as it did the PC version, then people can complain about the higher frequency the PC version was updated. But if it takes us the same amount of time to go from 1.8.2 to 1.2.3 as it took the PC to go from 1.8.1 to, say, 1.0.0, then people can't really complain.
And the reason I am talking about future updates, is because we have not skipped any updates yet. So no one can really complain about how many updates the PC version had compared to us. The only difference is we get the most up-to-date version of each version(like 1.7.3, instead of 1.7, then 1.7.1, then 1.7.2, or 1.8, 1.8.1, sound update, which the later ones are basically just bug fixes for the major update).
Is there any chance of allowing maps to be "shared" in some way? Like, sending a map to a friend, or uploading them to a server? They are much smaller on the xbox and take up less space, though I do not know whether it is prohibitive.
I've always hoped for a way to make portals between maps to allow you to share resources and effectively make the map bigger without changing the demand on your console. How stupid of an idea if that.

Sharing maps is something they are looking into. One of the big problems I see is the fact that map sizes are actually pretty big, at least compared to other games that have "map" sharing. This means a lot of money to store all the worlds. I do think it will happen eventually though. As for making a portal to link worlds, I wouldn't expect it. In my opinion, there is really no practical use for it. If the only thing it allows you to do is bring stuff from your other world, you might as well just start a new world and add stuff in with creative mode.
ok i hate asking this but how to i play online? i just today decided to finaly keep my xbox hooked up to the internet while i play so how do i play online with other people

You first have to have Xbox live Gold. Then, you check the Online Box before starting up your world. You can choose also if you want to have it set invite only, and if you want friends of friends to be able to join the game or not.
So right now, you can only play with your friends. Check out the xbox friend list that's a sticky in this section also. Be careful though, always remember, if you invite someone to your world, and you don't know them. It's best to save, and turn auto save off, just in case they mess anything up.

I'm thinking If in the "adventure update" on the Xbox The generated structures like strongholds, abandoned mineshafts will be implemented/added in worlds Not created in the same adventure update But older ( I'm italian excuse me for language mistakes! )

This has been discussed quite a bit. I think the concensus is that you will have to have areas in your world that are completely unexplored (i.e. not filled in on your map) for there to be any chance that a new bit of terrain would generate in that area when you do explore it after the update comes out. There are no guarantees though. If you have already explored your entire map, then the new terrain features will not be able to generate since the terrain from bedrock to sky limit was generated in the file when you explored that area.

Forum AdminPlaying local with friends has it's own requirements.
You need to have an HDTV, and your xbox needs to be on a video setting of 720 or higher.
You need 2+ controllers, one for each player, and only up to four people can play at a time.
If you mean to play online with xbox friends, no, like any other xbox multiplayer game, you must have Xbox Live Gold.
