Alright so I was thinking of making a super farm a huge underground cavern where I have farms of all types set up and with the press of a button with the help of redstone and waterways whatever i want/need will be delivered to me, so my question is will my current world generate abondoned mineshafts after the update (so i can acsess melon seed) or because the world size is finite will I have to start a new world to get mineshafts in the algorithim/seed

Only unexplored areas of the world will have a chance to generate the added fetures.

You might have a problem if water is going to give you your farm drops because the drop limit is 200 I believe.

alright well my map is fully explored so i guess I'll wait and by water I mean items grown like sugar cane and wheat will be pushed into water flows by pistons and other water

A lot of people do not like the map size because it will be hard to get the updated features.

ya hopefully 4J decides to put out a feature eventually that will allow us to enlarge our maps by deciding how much memory we are willing to devote to mincraft but this shoudn't be a big issue for people LIVE because of cloud storage

Has 4j said when the 1.8 update will be coming? I know it was in fall, the last time I checked but I don't think we had an official date.

Can we have sound for lava in xbox 360 version.. It's very irritating to be mining to suddenly have to run backwards becuase you uncovered a lava flow.. Like how Water has sound could you put in a unique one for lava? Also for xbox 360. Could you make the ore like the sapplings? Plantable. So that people wont have to try to find ways to glitch to duplicate. Just an idea.

So it's not that we have absolutely zero information on the ETA of 1.8 (as I took Bloc's post to imply); rather, we have a negative indication of its arrival ANY time in the near future.

It has been confirmed that you will be able to switch between survival and creative modes through the loading menu but not the in-game pause menu but I don't know if that feature will be out in 1.8.2 or a later update/patch. I think from everything I've read and seen that the update will come out somewhere in between the middle of September and the middle of October

hello im here today asking if their is going to be an updat sometime to day for the minecraftxbox 360 ive herd lots of people saying thats its happening today so i was just wondering if its ligit and also i know that endermen is going to apper but ive herd that you will all a survival mode and creative mode. if you can please tell me if this is true or false, PS: the time if 9:12 am est. thanks for reading.

No update for the 360 Edition. There is a PC update that just released though.

Alright i got another question I know from watching let's plays from the mince craft server that on PC it is possible to travel through the nether by making more portals once inside the nether, when i tried this on Xbox however the portal just took me back to the original one i made not some random place in my world, is nether travel in a future update or what?
