can you guys help my friends xbox 360 kinect has minecraft fully bought and i have HDMI cable with all six cable colors and we connected it but it wont work, i even put display and put tht third one on hd something... anyway i press start and it doesnt let me play split-screen, let me explain i have HDMI cable with six cables and we put it on and i put the third one on display HD thingy and i press start and it doesnt work ill make video wen i have the time...
you must mean the component cables, you are connecting the cables to the red/green/blue red/white spots in the back right? Also on the cable, is there a switch on the side of the plug for standard or high definition?
You arnt using HDMI cables, your using component cables. You need to make sure your tv supports HD resolutions when using the compent cables, because a lot of them only go up to 720P, which isnt HD
I've got a couple of questions, i'm sorry if they were already asked.
1. with the 1.8 update we will be getting a lot of new content in the form of world generation. since minecraft xbox is very limited in space, will we be seeing the infinite worlds or will we at least have a world four times the size of the current map? - my current thoughts with this is that since an infinite map is such a large file it would constantly be filling up the limited space in an xbox's hard drive, so simply adding about 3 extra minecraft maps to the current setup would be sufficient enough space to house at least all of the new biomes that will be added.
2. Texture packs are defiantly a minecraft must, so if and when they are added would they be categorized the same way as the current skins are available?
- I think that if 4j was to add in texture packs it would be best if they did the same as they are doing with the current skin packs; have like 5 texture packs per pack, have a simple set for free, categorize them per detail. Simply let there be a choice for the xbox community.
Though if they use existing texture packs they may have to give royalties to the creators of the texture pack unless the have given the pack to the community.
3. With the skin packs giving more profit to the studio will we get our custom maker before the release update?
- Since there is plenty of room for additional skin packs to be available, after a certain amount has been introduced to the market i believe that we should be given if not allowed to buy a skin maker that could be added to the game. The packs are a great way for people that aren't that artistically gifted to be able to say "i don't wont to play as Steve, i want my own skin".
Also i think if we ever get the skin maker we could have multiple skins saved in another tab in the skins section of the game.
4. Since the 1.8 update has creative mode, and most people on pc have used that to make adventure maps, will we be able to have a map market place?
- Adventure maps have become a major part of the minecraft experience so i think it would be fitting that we could share any and all made with the new update. Taking examples from games like Trials: evolution we could see an even bigger interest in the xbox version by essentially having more even more games then just the base game at the click of a button.

Trade me anything, I'll give you a fair price! Huh? your wondering why there's a knife behind my back? Oh, no reason.
I've got a couple of questions, i'm sorry if they were already asked.

We'll never have an infinite map, even the PC doesn't. I believe i read a tweet a few months back at them saying they'll look into making maps a bit bigger, but nothing has been clearly stated yes or no yet.
2. Texture packs are defiantly a minecraft must, so if and when they are added would they be categorized the same way as the current skins are available?

They wouldn't need royalties, everything concerning Minecraft belongs to Mojang. All Mods/Skins/Texture packs the community makes belong to Mojang and the company. We own no rights to Minecraft in anyway, rather it be textures, skins, or codes.
As for how they will present texture packs...that's unknown.
3. With the skin packs giving more profit to the studio will we get our custom maker before the release update?
- Since there is plenty of room for additional skin packs to be available, after a certain amount has been introduced to the market i believe that we should be given if not allowed to buy a skin maker that could be added to the game. Also i think if we ever get the skin maker we could have multiple skins saved in another tab in the skins section of the game.
As much as I would love a Skin maker...Microsoft is held by a tighter grip on Xbox Arcade. With the ability to make our own skins, there are those who would not follow rules (nude/rasist/copyrighted skins). I'm not saying we'll never get a skin editor, but it's highly unlikely, 4j hasn't said yes or no to this either.
4. Since the 1.8 update has creative mode, and most people on pc have used that to make adventure maps, will we be able to have a map market place?

Until we can actually share maps, I don't think we'll be seeing a spot for adventure maps for share just yet. No yes/no from 4j yet.
To sum up...4j hasn't confirmed or denied anything yet from these questions. So the information is hearsay.
Question - Will the worlds in the MC XBLA version ever be infinite?
EDIT: Sorry, Didn't see the PKit's post. So.
Question - Will the worlds on XBLA ever be ~2147000000 blocks every direction?
Probably, I'd have to say defenatly not. It's an issue of memory, Microsoft will only allow Minecraft to take up so much space on an xbox's hard drive.

The game itself might have limitations, but I don't think save game files are as rigidly enforced. After all, I've got a 250GB hard drive--if folks want to use it for savegames, let them.
I'm uncertain of the exact policy, but though I've heard of game size limitations, and game patch size limitations, I've never heard of game save file restrictions. If you can find somewhere this is confirmed, I'll happily cede the point.

I think they would be enforced to a certain extent. You have to remember that not everybody has a HD and some just have MU I would say the max file size would be that of the biggest MU you can purchase (or less) I too have searched but all i could ever find was the increasing size of arcade games
If I build an NPC prior to the 1.8 update (following the "door" guildlines as given in the wiki), will the system try to populate it as if it were an NPC village? (Once the update hits, obviously).
If so, what's to stop the system from trying to populate MY house with an NPC?
The video explanation on the wiki talks about a village always has a well. Is this the key to building a village, and if so, how far away does the system "look" for doors from the well?
I have a question, has any one tested what the distance (if any) is before pistons become deactivated if at all? I mean kind of like how mobs/animals dispawn when you walk away and such... please I would like to know if any one has tested out.
When creative mode comes out, will you be able to load your old maps up on creative. I have one that I've put over 50 hrs. into thus far and i want to change it to creative so i can eliminate all the time wasted on getting resources.

No, sorry. Once you start a world you are prompted with two options to go in either survival or creative mode. Once chosen, you cannot switch out of the game mode you picked in that specific world/save. However, 4JStudios (I believe) are looking in to the ability to switch between the two modes in an already created world (with another game mode already chosen, of course).
Will they ever implement xbox live avatars as a playable character/skin? My friends and I were wondering if this ever might happen, it could be done as a dlc if so. It would be nice to be able to play as your avatar, like castleminer.

I have quite a few questions about the 360 minecraft version if someone can help?
1. Will they add a "make your own character" app for the 360 version?
2. when will be the next update?
3. Is there a link to a "Working" slime finder tool?
4. Will they offer a creative mode to it later on?
It would be very appreciated if someone could answer my questions.

Without testing it, I do know that if the chunk unloads (no longer visible) that it will not activate. I do not know the exact block distance, but you have to be within viewing distance of that part of the chunk to have it stay active.

Villages were able to repopulate in the 12w07a snapshot. So we wont see any repopulating until the 1.2.3 release on the xbox.

Maybe, 4j hasn't confirmed yes or no on this. All we know is not right now.

I don't think there is a current working on for the Xbox, all those I've found only work for the PC. With the code being concealed and having to mod the Xbox to find out...it may be a bit harder/longer for a program to service.

No official word from 4J atm

Probably not. It's not very likely.
I'm 100% sure that will never happen.

No one knows yet, not even 4J. Watch there twitters and the Minecraft Forum front page for news on that.

Creative Mode comes with the next update.
