When ive been using different types they dont seem to deteriorate in any differnet way, they all seem to soak up the same amount od damage. Can anyone tell me what the differnces are plz if any???
And no 1`s made of iron an another`s made of gold plz
The order of how strong armor is goes as followed: Leather, Gold, Iron, Diamond (Leather being the weakest, diamond being the strongest). The stronger it is, the more durable (how long it lasts) it is. Keep in mind armor does not help protect you against falling or drowning (your armor durability won't decrease if you suffer damage from one of the two). The difference between the variations of armor is there.

I would say look at this link here. It's the wiki, so be warned, it could be wrong. Skip info on enchanting and such also.
What will be included in the next update? also when will the update with sprinting and custom skins be?
The next update will be 1.7.3. If everything goes as planned, it'll be released sometime within 10 days. Aside from various bug fixes and overall game mechanics improvements, the update will include:
+ Added pistons
+ Fire or redstone is now required to trigger TNT
+ Fences can be stacked
+ Added shears
+ Shears can be used to pick up leaf blocks
+ Shears can be used to shear sheep without hurting them
+ Cobblestone (as well as Mossy) textures are slightly altered
* Sheep no longer drop wool from being punched
The possibility of more features being added is there, however this is a good overview of what to expect.
will I have to make a whole new world to obtain some of these updates such as cobblestone looking better and such? also what are some of the skins that will be released and how many and will they cost any microsoft points, if so, how much? sorry so many questions in one post haha .
If you mean the DLC Skin Pack, it'l probably be released with the next update, which nobody knows when its arriving
I cant believe its actually taken them this long, and the only substantial thing in the next update is pistons, those people expecting the xbox version to be catching up with the PC version any time soon are living in a dream world
It's actually possible considering we should be in 1.8 by December. i have to say 2013-2014 is when we catch up.

Actually there's also shears, redstone changes, and I think I heard they're adding the 1.8 lighting to 1.7. And various other additions. Considering they also have to test it for bugs, fix as many bugs as they could find, then send it in for Microsoft cert testing it's actually not taking that long.

Pistons, updated cobblestone textures, shears, and all that good stuff WON'T require you to start a new world. So you can keep your current world. There will be 40 skins released, all in one pack, and they will cost Microsoft points. There isn't a price for it yet. They've leaked 10 skins that will be in the pack. Look at the links below to see them:

we are getting custom skins. Custimizable? No. Maybe in the future. No one knows for certain. And we do know the skin packs will arrive in time with the update. That is certain since we will not be able to use the skin packs with the earlier forms of minecraft 360.
The game will catch up to the official release soon. Maybe by the start of next year, but it is updating faster then pc has ever.
Is there a reason Certain blocks take way longer to mine in the XBL version than the Pc version. Redstone ore blocks come to mind.
When I played 1.6.6 on the PC version the same thing happened, redstone ore took much longer then other blocks to mine (obsidian however is intended to take 10 - 15 seconds to mine). It does get patched in an upcoming update, 1.8.2 I believe, but I'm not entirely sure when.
hey, I was just wondering if mods will be coming out for minecraft xbox 360 edition, thanks
all i can say is "maybe". A yes or no hasn't been said from 4j as of yet.
On a side note...if we were to get "mods" I believe they would be called add-ons, and you will not see the "mods" from the PC version on here. They probably would be brand new ones, or look a like ones, from 4j. I wouldn't expect them to be free either. If 4j makes them, then you're probably going to pay MS points to get them.

Well.
No official word yet but they are and have been working on it. They've said it's going to be one of the hardest to update.
So if we're lucky sometime in September. But that's a fairly rough guess on MY part, again there is no official word.
