Red Apples were added in Indev or something along those lines. They're impossible to get without inventory editing during 1.6.6 on PC. In 1.8 they could be found in Stronghold Chests. By Official Release 1.1 apples could be found by destroying oak tree leaves.

Will the xbox edition get Villagers in a future update ?

Having people to protect/trade with may be what I need to come out of perpetual Peaceful mode. Taking the game into an RPG arena is exactly whats missing for me.

The next update is the 1.7 update which is currently scheduled at early-mid July. It'll feature htings such as Pistons and Shears.
Sprinting is added in the 1.8 Adventure update and that should be dropping sometime in September (although that's my personal speculation, no official word yet)
Around the time the 1.7 update comes around 4J will be releasing DLC that'll contain around 40 pre-made skins. Although you wont be able to customise your own skin. There will also be free DLC which will be "trial" packs for the paid DLC.

Been working on my world for a long while, mainly a massive castle complex, and came to the part where I needed pine. There is none. In the entire world that I spawned in. Put over 100 hours into this, and not a single pine tree.

New to minecraft, and didn't think that was possible. I mean, how can a world only spawn 2 types of trees? Anyways, there is only a microscopic amount of snow on my world, with no trees on it.

Am I screwed? Did I seriously spawn in a world with absolutely zero pine trees? Is there anything I can do? I need the dark logs....

Sorry, there's no way to get Pine Trees without first having Pine Trees

Will worlds be bigger in future updates?

Didnt need anything . Just checking forums out . Didnt help . BUT IT WAS GREAT!! Ill be sharing with my friends soon .

4JStudios are looking in to making them larger, but no promises if it will/can be done.

I don't think so. If you were able to update to the bug patch, then you don't need gold.

4J Tweeted that a build for 1.7.3 is going into Microsoft Cert Testing today. So sometime within the next week or two. It can take up to 10 days.

so whats going to be in the 1.7.3 update besides pistons and skins
