Also i wonder when people will stop being idiot and read.

I really don't think that's a bug, the cake part i mean. I thought i read somewhere that cakes would consume the buckets in the early updates...not saying that's 100% correct though.
Okay, i bought the game and now I can't play with my friends. Every time i try to join a session it says "connection to the server was lost exiting to the main menu".
CAN ANYBODY HELP ME?!

There, now stop asking.
It's really annoying.
People will ask regardless instead of checking the latest posts.
I downloaded mcxb360 today and noticed that the map size was alot smaller then i expected. do they plan on increasing the map size. and do they plan on adding biomes, hunger and essence (xp) to they game. i would love to have all the features that my pc vertion has. since i payed the same price for both. if this is all that the xbox vertion is going to have i will have to say im alittle let down. and i expect that they may add texture packs as DLC. if so i am looking forward to that. im really hoping we get some promising updates for it. btw, im not saying the xbox version is bad, cuz its not, im just saying it was below expectations thats all,
Anyone know a cool Survival/Stranded Island seed for XBOX 360 Minecraft??? Please comment if you do!!!! I really want one because I love survival island
How do you go onto splitscreen for an XBOX360, I've tried many times with no luck at all. We are trying to play three on one TV screen. Can someone help?
I have a question, I have been all over my map on the xbox version and i know its small but, if they update the game to add abandon mine chafts and strongholds and jungle biome which I'm pretty sure they will have to make the worlds bigger , will it change my map and mess it up a bit ? O.0 just curious....
also it lets me pick as guest for another controller so we can play splitscreen online but it keeps says that "guest" must have online subscription but i you dont need a subscription to online as guest, so I'm guessing its a bug? i hope they fix it
When will Minecraft for Xbox support the full features from the COMPLETED GAME? I mean, I think it's absolutely ridiculous that Notch hurried to "finish" Minecraft before a deadline, and then when Minecraft for Xbox comes out, it isn't even the full game. I complained about this in a news post, and of course just about everyone assaults me and calls me an "illiterate" "****". I admit I have not done much research, but all I know about the game is from stuff I have read on the news feed here on the site. I wasn't aware of the fact that MCX360 was only in BETA 1.6 (Beta of course meaning that it is UNFINISHED) until a week ago.
I have not ONCE seen ANYTHING suggesting that MCX360 will EVER have the full game features, or that it will be updated whatsoever. The whole 1024x1024 world is a tad ludicrous, too. What happened to ever-expanding worlds and infinite terrain to explore and build on?
So what's the problem? Why am I buying an unfinished game on the premises that it's finished? Why does nobody mention that it isn't even the full game, and still a buggy, old version that I had several months ago? What is supposed to urge me to buy the game for Xbox if I have a much better, much more customizable and smoother game on my PC?
I know that i have a HDTV and everything is hooked up correctly but the thing is none of you guys are telling people how to turn on the MP. all you are doing is telling people to get an HDTV without answering their true question about the split screen. If you guys can tell me what to do to turn on the MP it will be very much appreciated.
I have a question Has Herobrine been removed for this because i keep hearing dirt being dug when i am alone. Also the spawns are very weird for creepers only reason because i went into a cave and was attacked by over 20 creepers.

You need xbox live of course. then it will ask you
Why is the splitscreen option only for the 20% who can afford an HD tv easely and an HDMI cable and not for the other 80% who can't afford a €2000 tv?
Please just answer me couse I coulndt find where they said why its only for people with too much money!
Only for the 20%!? Laugh out loud!
HD TV don't cost $2000 (And i noticed you were using another form of currency but still i'm for sure in wherever you live they still don't cost that much and if they do i want proof that they do)
I pay $20 for my son and I to play this game splitscreen local on our Xbox 360 and it does not work! Rip Off!
well, i just figured it out today how it works, when i tried it with my friend on the tv in my room it didnt work because the tv has to be a high definition tv, so i took it to my living room and disconnected the HD cable from the cable box, then plugged it into my xbox where the little red, yellow, and red things cable would normally go, then go to settings, then console settings, then HD settings, and then set it to 1800. then when i was starting the world make sure the world setting is "online" then it should come up with who is gonna play and it should work, i hope i helped

I happen to have all 3 formats of Minecraft: IOS, PC and 360. What I would like to know (And it's a long shot) but will there be a chance to like connect the 360 account to my pc in the future and get my skins and maps? I know it's a very long but you never know without asking~
Right now they haven't said anything. Jeb was wanting a way to possibly have us create skins on the Xbox, but nothing is official yet, so as of now, don't know. As for maps, I can't say for sure either. I would try imputing the Seed into the generator to see if that works.

1. The map size is limited by the Xbox memory, so right now, doesn't look like it.
2. They plan on adding more biomes (like jungle and mushroom) later when they catch up in updates.
3. The hunger bar and exp willc ome soon.
4. They are working on trying to figure out skins / textures / mods for the xbox, but nothing official has been stated yet.
The xbox will update slowly, just don't know when/how long it will take to get to our PC version.

Not sure where you are getting those numbers. HDTVs are the cheapest now then when they first came out. Looks like you're talking Euros (forgive me if I'm wrong), so I can't say 100% sure over there, but here in the US, a 32" tv used to cost $500-$600 when they first came out, now they can be as low as $200.
The only reason I can see why it is required for the HDTV to play Splitscreen is because of how we play Minecraft. We play in a widescreen format, and if it offers up to 4 players, on a standard tv, everyone would be thrown into a small box, which completely throws the screen format for playing minecraft off, you wouldn't get the view as you are used to now.
*edit I saw your other response.
The game will probably never "update" to where you will not need an HDTV to play splitscreen with. Like said before, it will be almost unplayable because of the view of the screens.

If we go by the PC version, you'd have to walk out of the boundries of your map to find the new biome or new chunks, in the xbox version, I expect you'd have to make a new map (not 100% sure). I don't think it will mess up the current biomes or what not we have now.

I'll address each bit of your post bit.
1. No known date is set, it will slowly update to the full release.
2. The game is not beta on the xbox. That is the first release, and it will be updated. A few months ago they stated this in interviews and news articles. If you didn't read that before buying I'm sorry to say, that's your fault, not 4J, and NOT Notch's fault.
3. If you follow any of the people on twitter involved with MCXBLA360 you will find this information quiet easily, and yes it will update. (follow the link in my signature to get a direct link to some twitter feeds.)
4. The game is actually a map size of 1000x1000. It's small yes, but the map size is limited by the Xbox 360 memory (this is why it's not infinite like the PC version), and for frame rate purposes when playing multiplayer with friends local/online.
5. Again, all this information has been present for at least a month, if not more. If you didn't research (which you said you did not), then you can only blame yourself for buying the Xbox version if you expected the PC version at the get go.
Do I need an HDMI cable for my Xbox to play local split-screen?
You need at the least the component cables ( red / green / blue [video] red / white [audio]) to play at a 720p resolution. HDMI cables are just easier since it's only one cable/plug.
Mostly why people respond with saying "HDTV required" or what not is because that's the #1 reason people aren't able to play splitscreen. For your question:
Local
1. Make sure both controllers are on.
2. Player 2 hit the start button on their xbox controller (to the right of the Xbox guide button)
3. Choose the profile to log in as.
4. Wait for it to load, it will automatically switched to split screen. (horizontal if you didn't not choose verticle split-screen)
Online (the way i did it)
1. Make sure both controllers (or up to 4) are on.
2. Join/make a new world online.
3. Have second player press the start button.
4. If needed, make a new profile. (i just clicked until it was finnished with what it was asking)
5. Player 2. must hit start again at this point to try and join.
6. A message will pop up saying not everyone has multiplayer permissions (not xbox live gold). It will ask you to convert it to a guest account.
7. Hit yes.
8. Enjoy.
Once you set up the 2nd profile, it should automatically let them join and exit when having them press start. If you are both wanting your names to show up, not (for example) KioriBug and KioriBug(1), then you both must have xbox gold accounts.
does the game save automatically?
if not, when someone griefs in my world, can i just end without saving?
do you have to save before someone leaves to save the inventory?
The game does not save automatically, I believe it tells you it does, but it does not from pervious experiences I've had with griefers. It's safe to say, if someone you don't know joins the world. save the map right then and there. When it loads back up, if they do grief your house/belongings, the host can exit without saving, block the person, and reload the map back to the point where the griefer joined.
I think as long as the game saves at one point. if people joined the world and left before the save, when the game saves there inventory will be saved along with the world, if the host freezes and the map is not saved, then when ever the last save was, will be where people will start at.
Example.
person A joins and mines diamonds and leaves with diamonds in inventory. Host B saves the map a few hours later. Person A joins the game later in the same spot they logged out with diamonds in inventory.
Example 2.
person A joins and minds diamonds and leaves with diamonds in inventory. Host B's xbox freezes/lost power/lost internet connection. Game is not saved. Host loads up game to last save (before person A mined diamond). Person A logs on where person A spawn lasted. Does not have diamond in inventory.
If this happens, your map stays the same (even if the chunk wasn't explored). You can go back to where you were and redo what you were doing last.
YOU NEED TO HAVE A HDTV TO PLAY SPLITSCREEN AND IF YOU BOUGHT IT JUST FOR THAT AND DON'T HAVE AN HDTV THEN YOU ARE AN IDIOT FOR NOT READING AND WILL NEED TO GET WITH THE TIMES AND GET ONE OR JUST READ INSTEAD OF BEING A STUPID IDIOT

You can get a 46 inch 1080p HD TV for only around $649.99
Developers aren't going to make stuff for outdated hardware, deal with it.
Before you buy the game you can see it says 'Split screen 720p' so just read next time.
did anyone use a lot of TNT and blow it up to test out the game performance? lol
hopefully there will be game mods in the future like redpower, commands, etc..

Only if you want the PC version of Minecraft legit. If you mean Gold for Xbox, that is required to play with friends online.
