regarding the Xbox 360 version of minecraft, will mod makers have to update their mods to work on the Xbox?
It's kind of hard to answer this question. Normally a person would say, yeah, sure. The xbox would just have to allow modding, but that isn't the case.
The only reason 4J-studios is taking so long in releasing the game is because they have to re-write the whole coding of the game because the xbox version does not support Java. The PC version of the game, and all mods, are written in Javascript. In order for mods to even be compatible with the xbox version they would have to be entirely re-written aswell in whatever code the xbox is. Aswell as making it be allowed to have modding support on the xbox.
If 4J or Mojang can pull that off allowing mods on the xbox, modders would still have to re-write the code in a whole new coding language.
Hey TheElm. Could you please add the wiki version history link to your post so we can suppress so many people asking if______ will be in the game. Here is the beta history link. I think they could easily find out what they want to know from here. http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Version_history/Beta

Sorry if someone already said this.
Nobody has said it, Thanks, I'll add it tomorrow, almost off to bed.
Hey i understand how crafting is going to work but that kinda takes away the craft from minecraft sure its good that now we dont have to go to a wiki or something but it doing by itself kinda ruins the exploring so can you guys make a option to have ''autocraftng'' and not to or something like that because the original minecraft fans will think it is too easy for them i know what you guys were trying to do but can you make it so its a option to do the autocrafting thing
._.

I would be VERY surprised if Microsoft allowed mods, I wouldn't get my hopes up - just be happy with the vanilla verson.

How much GB space will the game take up?
I think it may be around 60 MB I can't remember where I read it though.
False, that website still says that the release date is still December 2011. Don't trust every websource.
Not sure, theres not a way to tell, as the file is not out yet.
