This Post is only an idea of how to include customizable skins and texture packs:
-They could add them as a sort of paint pallet that can be used to change them.
-Or they can just start a vote for the top 10 and add them into the 'options' menu.
This looks so epic... but i just got a second hand x box 360 a few days ago ive no idea what points are or anything..
Microsoft points are a virtual currency that is used to buy games, movies, add-ons, map packs, avatar clothing, themes, and anything else in the Xbox Marketplace. You can either use a credit card or go to your local gaming/electronics stores and purchase points cards. They usually go in 1600, and 4000 points. You're going to be looking to be about $20 and $50 for these cards.
Has online multiplayer been confirmed for launch? I assumed it had, but then I read this: "A split-screen function will be featured. 4 players in split screen, as well as the possibility to play 8-person online multiplayer (will be released later) gamemodes in split-screen." on the Minecraft wiki for the XBLA version of the game(found here: http://www.minecraft...box_360_Edition).
Now, the wording of that sentence is a bit odd, it could simply mean the split-screen mode won't be able to play with others online at launch, or it could mean the 8-player online multiplayer won't be accessible at launch.
I'm really hoping that is not the case, as I've convinced a few of my friends, who are strictly console gamers to purchase the game next month, and they might not be as interested if we can't play online together.
Thanks for the info, and you prob get this alot, but why should i have to pay 1600 when i got the dame in alpha and supported it all through its development?!?!?!?!
For verification my IGN is littledaveka. Pleas just send me a private message when you respond!
I do agree with most of what you said but if there was servers with pc and Xbox then do you think we would need to have a single profile for both Xbox and pc to stop their form being people with the same name.

You'll be able to play online: With yourself and 7 other people, or 2 player splitscreen and 6 other people... ect ect all the way to 4 player spitscreen and 4 online friends.

Its being ported by another company, they want to get paid and so does Microsoft. You bought a copy of Minecraft on PC, not a copy of every incarnation of the game to be produced throughout all of time. By your logic, if I buy a game on Xbox, I should get the PS3 and PC versions for free also.

The username for the Xbox version will be your Xbox Live gamertag, your Minecraft user name is separate. But there won't be PC/Xbox servers together for a while if at all. It will be a while before the Xbox version is brought up to date with the PC version.

You don't really "support" minecraft by buying the game. Mojang has company servers to host the website, and the login-confirmation servers, not to mention hosting downloads for updates. You paid 10-25$ once. That wouldn't help them buy lunch, none-the-less the stuff they have to pay for. Now 5,455,972 people buying the game for 10-25$ will help them out. Just be happy this isnt an MMO like WoW where you have to pay for monthly memberships, not to mention buying the disc and addons. Buying minecraft for the price it is, is a great offer.

Yeah, I think that is one of the main reasons it's so popular.
Quick question. I am not familiar with the updates (I am new to Minecraft and I will buy it on Xbox, I hate PC gaming) and I was wondering. Will the initial release contain Endermen?

No it will not contain enderman in the release, but they will update it over time with the adventure update with enderman in it

No idea about skins.
No Idea.
No demo.

Because I don't waste money on the same game two times.

I believe you meant "Being re-written for the Xbox by another company". But I'm just being a jerk
