oh hey, i quoted a guy who already said the 22nd xD
Waste of money if it was 1200 MS Points i might bought it but now 1600 MS Points
in Europe we don't even have MS Point cards with 1600
PC version still better with mods and texture packs
Hey guys, going a bit crazy here... just read an article in which they said that updates on the 360 will NOT be free - so you will pay for 1.6, then you will have to pay for future updates to get up to what the PC version is eventually. Who knows how much that could be. Anyone know if that is true? If it is, it really puts me off the 360 version
"Whereas with Minecraft we can see all the way up to the latest version on PC, and therefore we can plan and say we're going to do an update that's going to take this long, to bring it from 1.6.6 to whatever the latest version may be. We're going to plan it out - is that OK with the platform? It's not a free update, it has to go through all the usual processes and stuff, there's no streamlining - it's just understood in advance."
It irritates me to read that, if it is true, because "it has to go through the usual processes and stuff", well boohoo, mojang had to program the thing from scratch and it was free then.
that would be absurd if we had to pay for updates. what other game does that? i thiunk he meant that these updates are going to be difficult to deal with.
sorry for the troll that came out of me, but it clearly says that the annoucement of the release date, WHICH MEANS THEY ARE TELLING US THE RELEASE DATE WILL BE March 23rd (but its in the next 9 hours as posted by XBLA_Chris on playxbla.com
Please refrain from being an asshole. It was a mistake. Humans make mistakes. I read the thing and updated the page within a minute. I was busy working on a server. Chill out.

Don't trust every source you find until you have proof.
It's possible that it's a misunderstanding, but not sure what else he could mean. I'm not necessarily trusting it, but I haven't heard elsewhere that the updates are definitely free - I'd like confirmation of that from someone else, as I can't find it
i read the article...but i don't quite think he's talking about updates having a price...
There's no change in [Microsoft's] policy, absolutely no change in policy, but it's an unusual product in that we can see exactly what updates we need to do. Normally a game releases, and then you bug-fix it with updates. Whereas with Minecraft we can see all the way up to the latest version on PC, and therefore we can plan and say we're going to do an update that's going to take this long, to bring it from 1.6.6 to whatever the latest version may be. I bolded where it talks about "free". I don't think the phrase actually is talking about having to pay for each update...but more so that the company is not "free" to throw out an update when ever it feels like it. It will have to "go through all the usual processes and stuff". This is what makes me feel why they are not referring to paying for updates.
There's a lot in that little paragraph that makes it seem they are only talking about restrictions on the updates.

These are just my thoughts and I'd love for an official source to comment on this eventually to be 100% sure.

Sorry for caps but I'm pissed
Will the world size in MCXbox360 be the same as PC (8x Earth's surface) or a little area like in MC Pocket?
