If you want to see what it would be like using the "classic" crafting style on a controller, then try Total Miner's crafting. It's not that bad, but this is a lot quicker and easier IMO.
i never had to find out recipes by my self becuz i heard this game had some kinda recipe system so i looked on the wiki and crafting recipes yay i been playing ever since 1.7 i know not to long ago but i know what the classic minecraft looked like becuz i saw videos of it and alpha looked like the best for terrain gen becuz it aint boring ever since 1.8 terrain gen is boring now
It would make sense to actually have to build that item a time or two, then it could give you the option to "quick build" it. That's just my opinion. :tongue.gif:
I like that idea but new players to minecraft need couching. And this way I don't forget to explain how to make something to my split screener. You can learn minecraft instead of having to look it up. Some explaining will still be needed but I won't have to take the controler every minute.
They kinda had to change it like that just for the ease with a controller and not everyone on console has a computer...
So unlike PC they couldn't just go look it up although there is other way's of dealing with that such as giving the player a book that showed how to craft everything.
If anyone noticed, Crafting is going to be extremely different now. No one will have to learn how to craft anything. Everything can be made for you, based on what's in your inventory. I do NOT like this. Not at all. I think it's fun to actually craft it yourself; to place the pieces yourself. That sene of joy you get placing your diamonds or whatever else. It may be just me, but I think that the new crafting method is garbage.
1. You don't need to learn how to build things like you did on the PC.
2. You don't get to place things yourself, which can in some instances limit your options.
What're your opinions on this?

I don't like it I just memorize the crafting but it would be better to have an option to the More advanced version and this version
