So i've been hearing alot of things about Minecraft's Xbox360 multiplayer and it all seems alittle too complicated. I've heard that Bukkit plans to bring in a custom server for the Xbox360 version of minecraft. I've heard players will have to run servers off of their computer. And besides its gonna need probably ALOT of updating once players find tons of bugs and glitches.

I'm not really sure how it would work but wouldn't it just be easier to make it were players can make servers from their xbox's?

When did Minecraft come out on Xbox?
Is it like a download or do you have to buy the disc somewhere?

Minecraft has not come out for the Xbox360 yet. But i agree to what your saying.
Has there EVER been an XBox game that supported ad-hoc multi-play over a WAN? I don't think so.
As far as I can tell, only one program/game can run on the XBox at a time(plus the dashboard that is part of the OS). Hosting a server on an XBox would require it to be a dedicated server. Just as well because the XBox lacks the RAM and HDD capabilities a stable server requires.
An online server list would most likely be free, much like the server list currently offered for Minecraft Classic server.

Your Xbox is the server. There are many games in the Arcade and Indie game libraries where your Xbox acts as the server.
