Has anyone heard or found information on how maps will be transferred cross-platform? Or if they even can be?
I was thinking flash drives, but I don't think you can open the stuff you put on it with your xbox because the system encrypts everything.
Seriously, there could be an option to transfer map folders online via your Minecraft account, not unlike Halo 3's system for sharing screenshots, recordings, custom maps, etc.
Alternatively (and somewhat too good to be true), the program could copy a world off of a generic (non-XBox formatted) USB drive. Not impossible, but very unlikely knowing Microsoft.
Curse you, Steve Balmer. CURSE YOUUUUU!!!

The Internet is a big place, friend. I've been places you've n͍̺e̩v̦e̦̰͍͓̩ͅr̜̭̝̬̬͉̤̬ ͙ịm̖͇a͍͇̤͙̥g̤̘i͔͖̤̼̪̬n͖͔̳̬̯e̩̘ḓ͈͔̠̙͇̼̯.͎
Well, minecraft gamesaves are just folders with other files in them. If this still stayed the same for the xbox (same folder with same content, etc) we might be able to copy our minecraft worlds over onto a usb using modio or horizon, then copy and pasting them into your xbox hard drive. Just my guess, probably not possible though because as stated above minecraft on PC is coded in java.

Call of Duty: Black Ops had the Theater mode, where you could upload videos to an account that you could access on a computer.
Saints Row: The Third had the ability to download character models from the Volition website.
So I don't think it's impossible.
