1) It will just work, period. I looked yesterday at the Support Forum here- 8 pages in one day about problems with the "finished, final, polished" PC version of MC. Since another company is doing the xbox version, I'm thinking it's not going to have near the problems the PC one has.
(Sorry, Mojang, but 1.7.3 was the best one you did. After that, I think you got in a little over you head programing-wise trying to add "everything that everybody wanted").
(There'll be tons of treads complaining about not being able to add any texture packs or mods... but not near the problems with the program itself).
2) You're gonna love the auto-crafting!!! It's been said here that "real men (should have to) remember all the crafting recipes". Well, if that what floats your boat, more power to you. However, Total Miner has auto-crafting and take my word for it, it's a god send! (Just think of "auto-crafting" as a mod :smile.gif: )
No, mostly because I don't have one and don't plan on getting one seeing as I have a PlayStation 3. Plus, what more could they add? without ruining it, I don't see much. And it just makes more sense to have a keyboard and mouse for this doesn't it? becausr an analog stick can't turn as fast as a mouse. Although you can turn up the sensitivity, it will make it even worse because you still probably won't be able to turn as fast as you would like to.
PC gamers are probably bashing the living hell out of it by saying things like this
Pros:
Great for those who do not have a very good computer (That is true)
Cons:
No texture packs (Because apparently Minecraft sucks when you're not using a 256x256/512x512 texture pack)
No mods (Because apparently Minecraft sucks without mods, When i can enjoy the game just fine without em)
Xbox LIVE's crappy community will make the game worse
i would vote Yes! but there is no version for me to choose for why i will be getting it...
Yes! because on a cold winters morning, you can snuggle up in your bed, with your cat (or dog)on your toes and play Minecraft!
that is why i have morrowind and oblivion on both xbox and pc. so i can play the Mod version on pc, and the console version in bed, all snuggly and warm.
1. Better graphics/Posibly reduced lag. - Game runs on 30 FPS, Graphics are better ? Texture pack, heard of them ?
2. Clear sound and graphics. Derp
3. Could be more new stuff. - No, you will have stuff you have now.
4. Could be easier to control and the game could act much differently to how it is on PC. - Lol, because it's so hard to control Steve.
Reasons not to buy it because:
1. Might not be able to have MODS (Or would be hard to upload to XBL). Xbox games have no mods mate.
2. Same as texture packs/custom maps/skins/ETC...
3. Mess up a world... there is no going back to restore. Welp
4. Can't backup anything as a PC you can just copy and paste files. - Can you read?
5. Might not be as good as PC... (Never know, the controlls could be harder to use as there are too much control options to use.) - You will get autocrafting
The reason I'm gonna buy it on X360 too is because most of my real-life friends own one and I want to play Minecraft with them, also no FPS lag. And it's only £10 and that's not alot, so I don't see why not.
Heres Why its gona be good for me:
1. Xbox updates will allow it to be updated
2. Xbox live means that it will probably have multiplayer support.
3. xbox 360 is better then ps3
4. Those people who have used fortress craft can play the xbox minecraft and feel legit.
To give our children and future generations hope, we must destroy every child on Earth and never have any more. I have already started this misson, child numbers have been halved in my local district. Will you join the cause?
I will definitely buy. I do have TMI and many mods on my MC, but Xbox will have built-in Voice Chat, so you can talk with people who have mics, instead of using a chatting system. (Lots of people are slow typers.) It might even have some good servers, hopefully with anti-grief software. Maybe, the server system would be like MineCraft: Pocket Edition, where you can "Host-and-play", connecting to Xbox Live usernames. And, you could add Public Live servers. If it doesn't have splitscreen, I will be...Depressed. Our Xbox burnt out, and we had an 180Gig Hard-Drive. I bought a new 4Gig to find out it has a new hard-drive system. Explains why I broke open our hard-drive and implanted it into the side of our Xbox. It works.
I can't even answer the poll because the answers are so silly.
But I think you should get if your computer can't handle Minecraft (which would be odd) or you like xbox controls better or things along those lines.
Answer With The Reasons You Think I Should Buy Or Not Buy Minecraft For Xbox.
"Yes,Because New Textures With Better Graphics Could Be Added That PC Cannot Handle. (42 votes [16.47%])" Are you serious? PC's are way more willingly going to handle graphics A LOT better the xbox. 1. Because you can keep upgrading your graphics card. 2. You can't change how much your xbox can handle. 3. You can change how much your PC can handle 4. There are more texture packs on PC then the only one on xbox. Sorry I mean there are thousand's more!
I could play it on normal render distance without it lagging. My PC sucks :,(
Voice chat
Outscourced development might, just possibly mean fewer bugs.
Multiplayer with my friends on XBL
Reasons not to buy:
No mods. I'm a better than wolves/buildcraft kind of guy.
Server hosting. How would it work, and would there be anti griefing built in?NVM, minecraft wiki said it will be cross compatible. Still, will that ever happen, with microsoft denying portal 2 cross platform and all...
Updates? With the outsourced development, we would get updates later, not to mention Microsoft has a tendency to block people from having tons of free updates. Look what happened to TF2.
Xbox community. I have no experience, I always keep voicechat turned off, but from what I've heard, Xbox community is really immature. Case in point, on Halo Reach, people actually vote for sword base on swat. (Campfest)EDIT: Just checked, and it will be cross compatible. Just speculation, but how would modded servers like industrial rage work? And will there be an option for xbox or pc only servers?
so many questions
Off Topic: Funny story, one time on countdown, team swat, a guy killed me on the platform with the sword, and started t-bagging. I respawned, walked out, and he was still there. Got a free revenge medal from that idiot.
