Of course, come the Xbox Arcade version of minecraft comes new controls. We will no longer have the convenience on the number keys or scroll-wheel, and the Xbox-360 controller has limited buttons compared to the hundered-somewhat keys a keyboard has. Hence, some changes will need be made. Here's my idea of how the controls will be layed out:
START: Game menu
SELECT: Player list (if online)
Button A: Jump, hold to float if in water, accept if in a menu
Button B: Crouch/sneak, go back if in a menu
Button X: Use (open doors, access chests, press buttons, etc.)
Button Y: Open inventory and 2x2 crafting grid
D-pad: Access up to 8 hot-keyed items (diagonals included)
Trigger L: Place block, hold to block if sword is equiped
Trigger R: Attack mob, break block, charge bow
Thumbstick L: Move, click to begin running
Thumbstick R: Look, click for a possible zoom funtion(?)
Bumper L: No current funtion yet?
Bumper R: No current funtion yet?
This is just a rough idea of what I think the controls will be like, as there is no confirmation as of yet, I'm not sure. Remember, I don't work for Mojang, these controls are not set in stone, they are just my rough ideas, and you can see they're not very good. I don't even have the two bumpers assigned any function...maybe something like a map screen, replacing the map *item*? I assume that'd be awkward to use, but what do you think?

Pretty similar.
Neither was I....I saw the control diagram online on this very forum.
Ironic I say that and the person above post the very diagram I'm talking about.
