This thread is what I have been trying to know for a few weeks, and since I am impatient, I started to find clues on what his role actually is.
I'll say all the parts of everyone just so we're on the same page.
d.
Gabriel the Warrior
Soren the Architect
Elegaard the Redstone Engineer
Magnus the Rogue
and,
Ivor the Brewer.
Yes, Ivor must be their brewer. In various scenes, he is found using splash potions of harming, and slowness, mostly in Episode 2. In the same episode, he is also seen using potions of Swiftness and Invisibilty. Yes, you could say he could've just guessed the recipe, but look at all his hideouts. All the hideouts have atleast bookshelves, brewing stands, and glass bottles, etc. This would explain why Ivor left or got kicked.
He also has the command block, which we would ask, "How?" or "Why?". Elegaard IS their redstone master, right? Which means Ivor could be more than a brewer. Maybe he had all of the elements that the Order had. He has built, all by himself, hideaway's(Soren). He knows how to fight like a professional(Gabriel). He knows the recipe of the command block(Elegaard), and he has created a destructive monster (Magnus), ALL BY HIMSELF.
I couldn't find anymore clues, so I hope you enjoyed this theory! I will update this thread when the next episode comes out!
Lemme know who you wished to go after!
Magnus-A
Elegaard-B
Did you leave in the morning or rush Soren's place?

Oh, right, SPOILER ALERT! Hahahah! See you next time!
those of you wondering why i don't have an active RP (so far none). i try. but whenever i get to the rules section of it my computer restarts. computer: i realise what your telling me and i give up.
Because Ivor is more of a support member (with buffs and enchantments), he probably wasn't involved in the fight against the dragon itself. Plus, with the general lack of teamwork skills the order had, it's no wonder they shunned him. Even if it wasn't right.
He's more of an alchemist than a brewer. Otherwise he wouldn't have a gold sword and understand constructs (golems, withers)
I think he could be actually the warlock. What if he can do everything that the other "members" of the Order of the Stone can do individually???
Anyway, he must hide a big seecret that nobody knows until this moment.
Ability Checklist: (Ivor)
Soren: Yes, builder of golems and leader of the order of the Witherstorn - but not worlds
Ellegard: Yes, creates command blocks and contraptions like golems - but no redstone
Magnus: Yes, who needs tnt with that giant witherstorm? - but no TNT
Gabriel: Yes, he is good at sword fighting - but not skilled enough to defeat two people who are OK at it
Plus brewing, enchanting, etc.
IVOR OP PLS BAN NOTCH!!!
(just kidding)
Anyways, I'm sure he can't do what the others can, but he certainly is a warlock because he plays with the dark side of magic.
A bit off topic, but wasn't that freaking slimestone battle mech from "School boy" amazing?
Yeah. And I almost thought they were gonna use it to hold off the storm. But it got wrecked along with everything else. Interestingly enough, in Redstonia, the only survivor is the person who built the infinite upwards flight machine.
Your theories are better than mine is! Watch out for Into the Darkness The Second Curse, it will be uploaded soon. I highly think the theory YMBrothers had. Ivor could be the leader, as most people think it's Soren, it was never said, in the books. I would also like to add that they could have kicked Ivor out because he was too powerful, and the other members had no practical use. This is the reason why the Order never really liked each other, because Ivor was kicked. Mostly with Magnus and Elegaard. The reason Elegaard thinks she's better is because Ivor never really knew how to make anything in redstone, until he was kicked. While Ivor already knows half of everything about TNT.
I think Ivor's roles were brewing, enchanting, adventuring, guiding and leading the team. Then everyone started disagreeing with one another and Ivor got voted out of the Order.
Let's not forget what happens if you choose to punch Ivor. My brother did a play through where he tried that. Ivor said something like: "Great. MORE senseless violence. It doesn't solve anything. Learn the lesson now or share Gabriel's fate". This could imply that the Order never "learned the lesson" and that is why they will all be devoured by the Storm. And the lesson is to solve things by not arguing and following the instructions necessary to get the job done.
I know this because that is Jesse's role. If you side with someone and say something like "what are you doing lucas?" or "Cut it out Axel" you make the situation worse and the friends start arguing. Same thing happened to the order, clearly. Ivor tried to get things done and save the world but Magnus and Ellegard kept arguing their own strategies (or lack of them in Magnus's case) as well as their distastes towards each other's personalities. Not sure about Soren, though. We'll have to wait for that.
In the end, I think Soren took over because he could deal with the arguing due to his hinted at eccentric personality. Ivor wanted to slay the dragon his own way given the order didn't listen to him and he liked doing things by himself, so he fled the scene and failed to slay the dragon alone. Then the others slayed the dragon and ignored his prior contributions. And as Gabriel said, time has made him bitter.

Ivor is the alchemist. He enchants and brews.

The bookshelves aren't there for decoration, you know.

If There Are Only 2 Heros Left We Know What We Need To Do... ...The World Needs The ORDER OF THE STONE That's Why We're Here!
Ellegaard, Morning
Nice call on the lack of teamwork. And I can hate this game, but I still have fun playing it.

No, I think (opinion! don't flame me...)
Ivor is the leader of the Order of the Stone.
Here's the reason why:
1. when Jesse read that book in Chapter 1,
it shows that Ivor stands
at the middle of the four rooms
2. He made a command block, but Ellegaard can't
3. He made the same "Library" in his base and in the
Temple of the Order of the Stone
4. He seems to have his own personal room in Chapter 2
Yeah, it seems that sth happened to them (may be revealed in the next chapter ^^)
so they removed Ivor from the Order of the Stone and pick another leader.
(You know, Gabrel should be the leader, not Soren...(which makes no sense ^^))
That's genius! And he was the center light of the amulet, so it would only make sense!
Thanks for the support ^^
btw, I enjoy how he was punched 2 times in his own room.
Especially when he uses speed potion.
