Hi please bear with me as I know nothing about ps4 or indeed minecraft! My son has had ps4 for a year and played minecraft. Some sort of update has occurred and now the old version with all his purchased skins has disappaeared .... can we uninstall and go back to how it was? Any advice really appreciated. Thanks
Installing re-installing the old PS4 version AND getting all of the updates (not including Bedrock) may not be possible ... I don't know.
However, just because your PS4 now has the Bedrock version installed does not mean you have to play that version. Your son can still play the older Legacy Console Edition without uninstalling anything.
On the start-up screen for the new version of Minecraft, have him select "Editions" instead of "Play". That will allow your son to start the game up in the older version.
The Meaning of Life, the Universe, and Everything.
Do remember that playing on the old version of minecraft means you wont have any future content updates to the game. If he wants to play with the most up to date version of the game going forward then he'll have to play the new version.
Yes, playing in Bedrock is absolutely no fun yet, I think I'll try it after all the bugs are ironed out if they are. I converted a world into bedrock, does this mean that world will always be in Bedrock? Or can I play it in the older edition if I choose from the "Edition menu"?
The Bedrock took 20-30 mins to load each time and crashed when I opened a gate. The end of my patience was loading for the third time. Got 10 mins of play and 80 mins waiting for it to load over again,
