Does anyone know if [Tutorial] AFK Universal Tree farm 1.11+ from ilmango works for the PS4 edition? And if not could I please get help on figuring out how to get a universal tree farm working on the PS4? I have a build world where I use a lot of wood and it would be helpful if I had one
It may work, although I've never built it, the concepts used work the same on console. At least for the farm itself. The tnt blast chamber does not work on console anymore. The only way to automatically break blocks is with withers. It will need to be chunk aligned, and built in the correct orientation, and definately build it in creative first.
If your not into gambling then I saw this the other day, he credits the person who designed it originally in the video, and makes some extensive modifications to the original design to suit his needs. Its slower than mango's farm, but in its original form is able to harvest all 1 x 1 tree types, and it was designed for console.
Thank you, A couple questions though. Is there a tutorial on the chopping wood section? Or do I just go off of what I see? And another question, about a gold farm. I seen that they had one in the video. Should I build that one or do you recommend silentwisperers design; Minecraft efficient afk gold and experience farm tutorial! xbox ps4 pc switch? Or do you not know which one is better? Sorry that I'm asking so much
Theres no tutorial for the chopping part, broken bones is a member here on the forums, and posts in the 'show your creation' section for console. He might be willing to answer questions you may have.
I can't remember exactly, but I think he mentioned the gold farm was actually based on silentwhisperers design. As far as I know that tutorial has proven to be the best farm for console, at least that you can look up a tutorial on. There is probably a way to make it better, but there are always compromises in farm designs. Adding more spawning spaces in the wrong spot can cause the farm to actually be slower, because they are out of detection range when they spawn, or they cannot pathfind correctly. Silentwhisperer's farm is set up correctly to produce consistent results, so unless your going to be doing a lot of testing in creative worlds before you build in survival I would suggest following the tutorial.
