Probably not until like PS5, PS4 cant even handle excessive mob spawning without frame rate issues so were a world away from unlimited worlds
This isn't true, if you guys ever get the bedrock engine like those of us who received the better together update you will have 'infinite' worlds.
Silverbel: I haven't heard any more about PS4 receiving the better together update. Microsoft wants you guys to have it, Sony said no. My advice would be to continue to bug Sony until they decide it is in their best interest to allow it. Although, some of the xbox players seem to still be stuck on console edition even though I like the new version better (people can be reluctant to change I suppose).
Sony wont allow it because they see it as working with rival companies, hence why i said PS5 when they update their hardware means they should be able to handle bigger and more spawning in minecraft themselves rather than letting minecraft upgrade their engine on current gen but include PC and Xbox players with PS4.
My point being infinite worlds are possible with the bedrock engine on current hardware. You made it sound like it wasn't. Console Edition wasn't built to allow for infinite worlds, that is true. Sony should take a page from Nintendo and let you guys play with everyone. I understand the thinking behind why they won't but it makes them look pretty bad (that's an entirely different discussion I suppose).
My topic is the question being posed.
Is the PS4 getting unlimited world size in a future patch? I definitely want that.
