So I'm making a city in Minecraft console edition and I'm not really sure on how to price stuff but I know I want to use emeralds. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me out
I have to admit this is a very hard thing to sort out - I always have trouble myself & we don't use emeralds
A quick google may help - I found http://www.naughtynathan.co.uk/minecraft/prices.htm & possibly you could use something this as reference along with using village trades for emeralds to get some sort of 'base convertion'
For example
A villager will trade between 18-22 wheat for 1 emerald [source: http://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Trading ]
- On naughtynathan's chart they 'sell' 1 wheat for '2 (whatever currency they're using - let assume 'coins') so buying '18' wheat would cost '36' coins
This means that '36' coins is equal to 1 emerald (or thereabouts)
Now lets say you want to sell a golden apple
- on Nathan chart that is 400 coins. If we divide '400 coins' by '36' that equals to 11.111 emeralds.
Since we can't have a part of an emerald.. you could round it up/down to either 11 or 12 Emeralds for a golden apple
For items that are sold less than 36 coins - for example dyes selling for '2' - you could divide 36 by 2 (=18) & you could then sell 18 Dyes for 1 emerald

Ok thanks I'll try it but what do you guys use then as your currency
A currency plugin. EssentialsX comes with one built in.
It rhymes with braille, not drool.
I wish I could do that but I can't on PS4 so is there any other methods that would work well
