hi im currently building a castle and am wanting to start the village inside the castle walls . the walls are 100% done and the cast is about 65% done.
i have put countless hours into it and am now getting close to finishing it. but at this point i am idealess for how to plan out and construct the village part for my castle as i am still putting all my ideas into to the castle. i well post some screen shots of what i have created so far. also feel free to send me a message on psn4. at RubberDucky306 i also braodcast my gameplay every now and then on twitch.
any suggestions and or someone whos up for the challenge of constructing a epic castle build plz comment or message me. oh and i am creating this all in survival with NO host privileges on . all blocks and or stuff have been found mined or created. a have put lost of work into this to be a survival built castle
The first image is that inside the square / rectangle castle is a circular village/houses, have a town well in the center of the town. The town well / pond could be used as a secret entrance too, either outside the castle walls or somewhere inside.
Image 2 is a standard design which i am sure has crossed your mind but having "your subjects" access to farm crops and livestock would be ideal.
Image 3 is a combination between People and the government. For the people you have houses and a well and stable for horses / cattle. On the right side you have a Church with some windows, complete with graveyard. Located closely to that is the Public Jail and some gallows.
These are just quick ideas that i came up with. Hopefully, you can at least get some ideas from what is presented here and incorporate it to your own.
I really like that first "well" idea, the secret entrance, i might have to borrow that. My village began organically i suppose, the houses i built depended on which professions i had from curing zombie villagers, my first two rescued villagers were butchers so i built a house with cows and pigs attached so i never had to go too far for a trade. They had a child who was a farmer so i built another house with a wheat farm attached. Now the village contains a smithy, a library and a temple/church too. None of the villagers take any notice of course as long as there are doors they are happy. I put a few "telephone boxes" (four doors with a block on top) around too in order to keep the door/villager ratio high but that probably isn't suitable for a castle. I'd like to see what you end up doing there, make sure you post the results!
Oh right,- but there is quite a bit there however if those walls are built out of it. Quite small to make out but i think there are alternate stacks of chiselled stone making up the main walls, that's quite a lot of duplicating, is there even a way of doing that on PS4? I know there was on X-box 360 but it was a bit hit and miss.
