6. You try to quickly escape danger and you accidentally click L3, the view changes so you lose control and die being attacked, burning in lava of falling off a cliff.
8. You press 'Options' to bring up the pause menu to take a break, you come back later only to realize you've been slain by monsters and all your stuff disappeared.. (game does not pause with the box for 'online' checked.)
Today, I was exploring a map and forgot to eat. Didn't notice my hunger bar was empty and I was on top of a tall cliff. The knock back sent me down the cliff and I died. Luckily I had nothing important on me!
15. When your inventory is full you drop something you don't need to next to something else you need and you end up picking up the same item you dropped.
20. You go check out Creative Mode to build something cool "real quick" ... end up turning it into a month-long project.
21. Try teaching my 4-year-old son to play, and build him a house at the spawn point (made a video of the house). His favorite things to do when he plays are griefing his own house, releasing/killing all the livestock and golems, and falling into ravines and digging holes straight down that he needs help back out of. lol, it's awesome that he likes to play it, regardless.
22. You want to make stone bricks so you put 8 coal in the furnace with a stack of 64 blocks to cook, you leave it and come back moments later wondering why it didn't cook so you check and realize that you put gravel in instead of cobblestone. Duh! lol
24. you find a vein of 4 Diamonds in an abandoned mineshaft far below ground level, 5 minutes from from your house and you have no spots left in your inventory.
this sadly happened to me, took me 10 minutes to go back home to dump what i had and return to mine the diamonds.
28. You build a huge wooden castle only to have a griefer burn it all down while you're not looking and to make matters even worse you realize that the auto-save feature wasn't disabled and all the damage can't be undone.

That's why I build most of my stuff out of non-flammable materials :-P It's possible there was lava or something too close to one of the wood planks, setting the whole place on fire. you can also turn off the fire spreading feature when you're going into your world
1- You have fallen into a ravine or pit while running and looking at your map.
2- (natural texture pack) You complain you can not find diamonds but lots of dark blue and light blue lapis.
3- (city texture pack) You see a creeper in a tuxedo and think it is a friend playing a joke on you... until they blow up killing you.
4- you have lost your map because you hit the wrong button and throw the map (into lava, off a cliff, etc.)
