I want mouse and keyboard support. I'm not comfortable with any of the 3 proposed controller setup. First person games are best played with a mouse and keyboard, controller sucks, period.
The only reason I'd buy Minecraft on PS3 is to play online, and also to play virtually lag free. No mouse and keyboard support: no purchase from me. I'd rather try to hit mobs on my laggy heavily customized single player PC version than try to hit mobs on a lag-free vanilla multiplayer PS3 version using a stupid controler.
Some first person games have well designed and calibrated controller support, making them enjoyable. Minecraft just isn't one of them.
@Stillunsure: I'm sitting in my sofa playing on my tv wether it's PC or PS3
I noticed the other day that one of the MC MessageOfTheDay, at the title screen, claims that it supports keyboards.
However, I have a feeling it was just something carried through from the original file. Ah well.
I agree though, it should support keyboard and mouse. The PS3 supports them just fine.
As to those complaining about people wanting it, I question why it is a problem for you (or even a concern). Nobody suggested that you have to use them. Too many people worried about whatever others are doing.
I am a game system kinda guy, but I like the PC too. I usually play on the computer when I don't have TV access, and vice versa. So, if you have access to a computer most of the time, or are more of a keyboard-and-mouse gamer, stick with the PC edition. But if you are a person who doesn't have/have access to a PC or Mac, and/or are a gaming system person, get the Xbox 360 or PS3 editions of the game.
well, you guys should try out controllermax though it cost $50++ it's worth it! xD
from all my researches, it supports all games from ps3, what this device does is that it can make keyboard and mouse work on all ps3 games, it also has many other functions, find out more about it on controllermax.com
