I kept hearing about MC, then it came out for PS3 so I tried the demo and knew I had to get it. So I've played by myself for a while and decided that I needed to get a new headset to play with folks online since I was getting bored all alone. Since none of my friends play MC I made an account here to find some folks to play with. Now I've visited a couple creative worlds and had to bail on 1 session of survival due to real life stuff. Now I look at "Players Met" on my PS3 and NOBODY from the games I did get to play shows up. My whole list is people from other games I've played. HUGE FAIL Sony/4J! Why can't I send a friend request to players I "met" visiting other player's worlds? I know this isn't a glitch-type of issue, but it is at least human error for not including this feature that's built right into the PS3 OS.
There is a duplication glitch that almost everyone does now by mining a block, and placing it at same time as u pick it up then converting it to something else like (diamond block to diamonds) and then mining the placed block.I know u can just go in creative but it's pretty annoying when everybody in every server just gets thousands of diamonds out of nowhere.
just want to know if it will be patched soon or what?
Redstone Lamp bug. I reported this earlier (in this thread?) - now can recreate it:
Breaking a powered redstone lamp with a silk-touch shovel (other tools not tested) returns a lighted redstone lamp in your inventory. When placed it remains lit for about 1 tick then powers off. Remains lit if placed in a chest or item frame.
Anyone else getting a weird bug where sheep like to jump out of the walls and fences and end up somewhere different then when you push them or let them walk they "warp" back into the fence? Also it seems they like to "merge" into walls and dying ruining my awesome rainbow sheep farm. I havent tested it on other animals yet but Ill drop by and let you know if thats the case and if its an all around AI problem or just sheep.

"The Multiplayer Freeze"
Well its most likely never going to be fixed but here's my problem. So I recently spent 5 - 6 weeks on a minecraft ps3 server that is to be played Online but the only problem that stands in my way is when my game crashes. It works like this- Me and 2 other people were waiting for 1 more person to even up the team for my mini game. And then someone finally joined! But all of a sudden my 2 friends stopped moving! I could still move around but they were frozen They said that I was frozen and they were moving but I wasn't frozen. So I decided that maybe it will stop after a few minutes, so we waited. After about a minute A screen popped up saying that there was a connection error and I had two choices, Save and exit or Exit without saving So I said save and exit. Then it put me on a loading screen, The problem with this is once on the loading screen the loading bar wouldn't move a bit after 5 minutes of waiting. After this the only other option is to shut down my ps3 while 'loading' And if you didn't know shutting your ps3 off or quitting the game while its loading destroys your ps3 by making it SLOWWWWW and corrupting saves.
So my server is pretty much useless unless 4j fixes this! another map wasted. I've recorded all the times I had to restart my ps3 because of this in one month. Heres my results: 79! Oh well. Minecraft multiplayer is pretty much impossible to play now. Please fix this... I really want to play with my friends!

After building up a mob elevator and a killing floor (2x2 piston floor with 2 lava sources. limited redstone) single player works fine but as soon as a second player joins in via split screen, MC lags horribly and this is local play only. Issue is specific to the area around the mob elevator i had this setup originally with stone fences to make it not look like just a big square tower but after reading others lag issues I removed all the stone fences and rebuilt with cobblestone blocks. Lag isn't as bad after the changes but it's still there enough to be a constant annoyance. . I doubt I can build much else in the area with out making it pitifully slow again. really sucks since the area is still fairly basic right now and i haven't done anything really complex short of the mob elevator (water blocks and signs, no redstone or pistons in the elevator) even the elevator in my opinion is extremely simplistic in design.
sounds like an internet connection issue. Not the games fault. your parents probably don't have a high enough internet or just a dead stop with low bars. Next time it happens try restart your internet modem
