How do you get level V books in the PS3? I looked in creative mode and the books are there. I have crafted a ton of books but the most I have been able to get is level IV. The books I am unable to get level V on are:

Bane of Arthropods
Efficiency
Power
Sharpness
Smite

I am also unable to get Thorns III.

Uhm, somethings messed up then. All the books for me are the highest level. 5 for most, 2 for flame/fire(as normal) 4 for armor (also normal) etc

They are maxed in Creative mode but in Survival I cannot seem to enchant any of the books level 5, even though I am doing level 30 enchantments.

In surviuval mode, its random, and i believe that you need to just combine two (lets say 2 sharp 4 swords) for sharp 5 sword. This doesnt wpork with books. \

eithe its a bug, or intentional. Havent done much with books in survival mode

You can't get level 5 enchantments (Unless you go to creative). You're going to have to combine for example Efficiency IV with Efficiency IV to make Efficiency V
You can do this with either your tools, or your books if you have Efficiency IV Books.

You can combine and combine books and eventually get V Enchantments.
for example:
You'll need 16 Sharpness I Books
to make 8 Sharpness II Books
to make 4 Sharpness III Books
to make 2 Sharpness IV Books
to make 1 Sharpness V Book

( I don't know if you can do this on the ps3, I'm just using my knowledge based on the PC version )

Combine books using an anvil.
It works in survival, my custom gears are testament to that.

It's easier to upgrade an existing item with the LVL 4 version at the anvil, Efficiecy IV pick + Efficiency IV pick will create a level 5.
