Do you think that they will ever release a PC version of Minecraft for the Pi. It would be great so you could play it on your TV if you don't have an Xbox to do so. I don't know if the rasberry pi would have the power to do so but thy may come out with a better pi. Or Mojang could find a way to make it work?

Like what the above 2 posters said, Minecraft: Pocket Edition is probably the easiest to run on the Pi. If the Minecraft Pocket Edition gets to crammed with lots of stuff, like the PC edition, then they may have to limit the Minecraft: Pi Edition even more.
It's not even ram that is the problem. The cpu is not powerful enough to keep up with Minecraft PC. The ram won't even fill up before the cpu is being overworked.
Thanks but where do I download this and is it a special version of Minecraft that I have to download, if so, where can I get it?
Isn't a Special Edition is the normal PC edition on Archlinux.
Tutorial: http://linuxaria.com...chlinux?lang=en
Must have Java run time (https://aur.archlinu...es.php?ID=51908)
Edit:If normal minecraft doesnt work install this
search your self the linux version of MC,lol i forget the rules. The Arch linux version is a launcher for the PC version of Minecraft, which would probably fail with a No OpenGL Acceleration error or similar.
If you are trying to run Minecraft on a Raspberry Pi, you should probably stick to the Pi version.
Thats why i told him "wait the best"
