I find seeds on youtube and i'm curious what map size most people like to play their seeds on. I personally always like to play on a large map cuz I like the options of more space and more to discover. I was thinking though maybe there are other reasons people prefer to play on classic size

I prefer starting out on small as it tends to provide close villages. After exploring and looting to the best of my abilities I expand to large and continue the exploring. Also this method gives two strongholds providing tons of books and other resources.

They do most of the time. I usually make a copy of my world before expanding incase it takes away something i want to keep. Usually the occasional loss of a village is worth tbe loot. As well for finding the other stronghold you can load your seed on large in creative to make finding the x,y,z of your second stronghold easier.

oooh that makes sense! I didn't realize it would spawn 2 strongholds! thats pretty sweet. Do the villages stay in the same place when you expand
