So I've been on this specific Minecraft seed for several years now and have been playing in survival mode, Easy/Normal difficulty only. I am certain that I have covered the entire world laterally, but am missing quite a lot of biomes and have discovered the four "walls" that serve as the bounds of my world, meaning I cannot travel further than them. I am basically boxed in and have discovered every biome in between, which are all very basic (desert, jungle, snow-covered woods, grasslands, extreme hills). There is also a small mushroom island at a corner of the world. The Nether and End are fine and working. Achievements are working fine too.
In the desert there are what look like villager households, but have no villagers inside them- I have never seen a villager in this seed. There is also one well in the grasslands. These are the only structures I have found aside from dungeons, mine shafts, and one huge library underground.
My minecraft seed is: -2716803322285464159, randomly generated. I tried starting a new world in creative mode with this same seed to make sure that this place didn't have any other biomes, but the new world had the same biomes (except for snow-covered woods), but was very different in content detail (ex: the extreme hills biome was at least 10 times larger, the jungle area was much smaller, there was a large village with villagers, etc.)- and the world still had bounds and was boxed into a square, exactly the same overall size as the previous world seed in survival.
What is wrong with this seed? My game is up to date and I don't have trouble with other seeds/worlds. Is there anything I can do to fix this issue? Please help!
A seed from several yrs ago will not be the same today if updated. The one you talk about has already had the map "discovered", thus will not change even after updates. All maps are approx 860x860, so any seed you pop in will have those dimensions.
The villagerless village is called a zombie village if I recall correctly. I have had a few spawn like this as well.
In summary, that old seed will not have the new biomes, unless they are present in a new game, but not in your original one
