Since the addition of Elytra, an accessory equipped in the place of armor that provides the ability to glide, an the new ability of mob heads that act as disguises, this could pave the way for similar “non-armor” accessories that provide different abilities.
Quiver- The quiver is an uncraftable accessory, available only from loot chests (Except for Blacksmith's Chest), or trading with fletcher villagers. The quiver is equipped in the chestplate slot, and when worn, the charge of a bow is decreased by 33%.
Potion Belt- The potion belt is an uncraftable accessory, available only from loot chests (Except for Blacksmith's Chest), and rarely from Witches (1%). When worn in the leggings slot, potions of the same type can be stacked to 3. However, if a splash or lingering potion is in a stack, there is a 1 second cooldown before another potion can be thrown, to avoid rapid fire. This accessory doesn’t improve potion combat in any way, it simply solves the problem of storage.
I may update this forum with new suggestions, but for now, these are the only ones I have.
The potion belt could possibly be OP. You could have 3 strength and 3 speed potions, and perhaps 3 splash potions of -insert negative effect-, and quickly drink a new one each time when the first one runs out, tripling te time you are a steroidy tank. Plus, how would you pick up the potions and choose which one you want? You did read it right? Theres a 1 second cooldown before you can throw the next potion. Also, status effects do not stack, they simply reset the timer. As for the "quickly drink another potion" argument, how is this any different from loading your hotbar with the same potion. Also, as with other accessories, this sacrifices armor.
The quiver is ok, except that this would heavily increase the count of bowspammers. It's a slight boost. You also have to take into account that this item sacrifices chestplate armor. Additionally, projectile damage is completely negated with a shield.
Also, isn't this considered a wishlist? Those suggestions aren't really closely related No, it's not a wishlist, as it's a suggestion for new accessories. Two, mind you. A wishlist is for very different things, like a new tree, a new ore, a new weapon, all in the same suggestion.
I kinda like the idea of non armor accessories. Though armor overall is a reeeeaaally important thing when you are fighting...
Another accessory might be something like "Shadow Cloak", which, while equipped in your chest slot, it doesn't allow any more armor to be used. You could still use other accessories though, so you could wear the potion belt. It gives one armor bar.
The "Shadow Cloak" Would render you invisible when standing in shadows (and the Cloak would show you where the shadows are), tall grass, or reeds, and only when you are have been standing still for at 3 seconds. Crouching would allow you to move, while keeping your invisibility, but you would move at half the speed you normally move while crouching. (which would make a new slowest way to move. Shadow cloaked while on soulsand while drawing back on a bow :D)
You can shoot arrows while invisible, but as soon as you hit an entity or player, your invisibility would disappear, and you would have to wait 3 seconds.
I would use this more than diamond armor I would love to be sneaky.

I like the idea of an accessory that improves sneaking. But, it's your idea. I'm not going to idea farm. Develop it a bit, and suggest it yourself!

Yes, I did read the suggestion. Potion belt is different from loading your hotbar with potions, as now you can keep all your potions there and load your hotbar with gapples, bows and arrows, weapons and other items to make you very OP. The rarity makes it that the few that would get it on a server would kill everyone with ease, and nobody else would stand a chance, as long as he has that belt and potions. I did not mean stacking the potion effect. I mean that once the effect runs out, you could immediately drink another one, without sacrificing hotbar space, an only sacrificing a few armor bars, which would not be that bad as you would have strength and speed, and with the empty hotbar space, you could also get a few golden apples and get even more OP.
In a PvP situation, a "few" armor points less than an adversary can make all of the difference. Keep in mind that diamond leggings provide 6 Defense points, iron provide 5, chain provides 4, gold provides 3, and leather provides 2. Imagine this. You, in full diamond armor, with a full 20 defense points, are against someone else in diamond armor. However, they are using the potion belt, and are at an armor disadvantage of 7 points.
I like and support both of them, though I think the potion belt is a bit strange. Why is the quiver decreasing bow charge?

Yeah, that guy in the avatar is me. I'm *that* strange. It happens. Sometimes people act like that. Just go with it. I can offer help with suggestions even before you post them - NOT make your suggestions - but help you with them.
This is a great concept and I like it but I'm worried about how it would work in actual gameplay. Yes, you're sacrificing armor points which puts you at a disadvantage but do these accessories match that disadvantage or go beyond it?
The ability to hold 3x more potions is quite powerful, considering you can stack 3 potions on your hotbar and have three charges for a single encounter at the cost of 1 slot and 20% armor reduction (with iron). Then decreasing the charge time of a bow by a 1/3rd... As far as I know a full charge takes 1.2 seconds, and a 33% decrease in that time would bring it to 0.8 seconds. Being able to send out a fully charged arrow in under a second? Seems quite powerful when you take into account you're sacrificing that 24% armor reduction for superior ranged prowess.

I like and support both of them, though I think the potion belt is a bit strange. Why is the quiver decreasing bow charge?
Well, real-life quivers make it easier to store and equip arrows. The decreased charge is to simulate the time saved by taking arrows from a quiver, rather than a jumble in your "inventory". Another response could be that this is Minecraft, and items IRL may not do exactly what they do in the game.
Potion belt is my favourite. You have no idea what kind of a space saver that would be. Even if it is only to three, that is still a net adding of one slot (assuming armour is still in inventory, and only potion belt is on). You have my support.
P.S. That quiver effect is really good!
Thanks for your support. Honestly, it doesn't have to stop here. There can be a whole new area of the game in accessories, with Elytra being the founder.
Doesn't seem bad. The only thing is when you say loot chests, which ones?
Where specifically? Any ol' chest, or in specific areas?
I suppose that could be clarified. Desert Temples, Jungle Temples, Dungeons, Igloos, Nether Fortress, End Cities. Pretty much every chest except for Blacksmith's Chest.

This would be a very nice feature although it will definitely make archers and chemists more dangerous. I do like the balance in it.

There isn't a new slot. You wear the quiver in the chestplate slot, and the potion belt in the leggings slot.
